You get stuff once in awhile though right? They buy shoes and clothes all year long in every color they want lol.

I guess it all evens out but doesn't look like it when you see the closet space taken

Almost positive I'm going with a 7 year arm. I asked about buying points, but don't think it will be worth it.

Took two long, painful years of looking but finally got mutual acceptance on my first house!

Should hopefully be closing before the end of the month.

Congrats! It's more responsiblity, and a pain at times when something breaks, but it's awesome having our own house. Plus knowing that it's a good investment helps, rather than throwing rent money away.

Garage organization for me this weekend, ugh lol

Any of you fella use a keyless entry? I'm almost 90% sure I'm gonna go with the Schlage touchpad. Looked at the Kevo that uses blue tooth, but read reviews that it's really easy to hack.

I would never go keyless for an outside access door (ie., the front door of the house).

I'd do it for the garage door that leads into the kitchen though.

Sunday, I finally got around to doing a little light installations.

                    1) 1/2 bath wall fixture, I think they call them mason jar fixtures

                    2) Full bath chandelier fixture (My wife is show room manager for a lighting company)

                    3) Fan with Mercury glass

                    4) Outside light

I have a really similar chandelier in my bathroom like yours. We recently replaced most of the light fixtures in our house to something more our style. The hardest one was definitely in our living room because of how high the ceiling is, check out the rig we had to put together to get it installed (ladder to get on scaffolding, then ladder on scaffolding). Then after getting the fan installed, we realized we forgot to put the remote sensor in the box and had to climb back up! My mother-in-law was a trooper getting up there and passing tools around. For reference, that's a 12' Christmas tree.

Yea Kev, that is a hell of a headache. Hell just having to move everything to setup the scaffolding would of been enough for me to keep pushing it back. Congrats on getting that nightmare done lol

Oh it got delayed plenty. I probably had that ceiling fan in the attic for 3 months before installing it. My wife was hosting a party the next week so it finally all had to be done! What worked out well was that my in-laws are building a house right now so they took all of our old light fixtures to use. We replaced five light fixtures and added four powered wall sconces. I still have to patch up eight 4" access holes in the garage wall where we ran power through the wall for one set of the sconces. Since they are in the garage, I haven't been in much a hurry to hot patch them. That's my project the last weekend of this month when my wife will be out of town. I don't know about you guys, but I like doing repair work like that when she isn't around because I like to do it my way lol.

Amen to that!!! I've made a point to do all my big projects when my wife has gone out of town for the weekend. I don't have anyone under my feet constantly asking questions. I learned my lesson early on, if I want to get stuff done, wait till she is out from under me.
