Man this is crazy. I can't imagine driving down the street and a cheetah running beside me instead of the neighbors dog.

I kinda wish someone was (safely, of course) able to get video of these things running around.

They need to get a traffic chopper in the air looking for these animals to help out the police... and for footage, of course.

Too late now...apparently there's only a monkey and a wolf remaining. Good luck finding the monkey, guys.

The remaining monkey reportedly has the herpes B virus.

This actually pisses me off. Maybe it's just the animal lover in me, but the conditions they were kept in, only to be released and subsequently slaughtered just makes me sick.

This would make for an interesting movie, I think (except have all the animals escape and get back to Africa somehow)

It sucks they're being killed, but I'd imagine they have good reasons for doing so. They may not have the provisions and equipment to actually capture the animals in a timely manner.

They tried to tranquilize one of the tigers, but all it did was piss the tiger off, so that's when they decided it would be safer to shoot them.

I'd rather them just be put down then have to go back to being captive.

I didn't know it was legal for people to own animals like these even on preservations. Especially if they are obviously wacko and can't keep them in good conditions.

It's illegal in most states. Ohio is one of like 8 or 9 states that allow it.

I think it would be cool to run into a Giraffe walking down the street. Not so much with the other animals. Also wasn't the monkey sick and they said he was eaten?

So the guy was a convicted felon. Had his own personal zoo. Killed himself. But before that, he released his zoo. All animals are gunned down in the streets of Ohio. Except for a monkey that has Herpes. Did I miss anything?
