Re: State Trooper stops Speeding Cops

Good for her!!! He shouldn't be able to get away with that just because he is driving a special car and has a badge.

I always wondered if there were ever scenarios where a police officer pulled over another for speeding.

You would think, though, that the pursuing officer and her station would be able to contact the office of the speeding officer via radio and find out who he is, where he was going, why he was going so fast, etc. and have his station deal with the issue in-house after supplying evidence, video, etc.

Any of our O.S. law enforcement care to chime in?

                Okay....I'll chime in.

Did you see what that Miami P.O. did...IN UNIFORM and IN A MIAMI RC?

                He.......
COMPLIED with the FHP officer(who....OMG....drew her weapon!!! what an outrage!(sarcasm in case you don't see it).......gave her NO LIP and...IN UNIFORM ALLOWED HIMSELF TO BE CUFFED AND ARRESTED!

Now let's look back at all the threads of P.O.'s being accused of being "out of bounds" because a civilian didn't comply.

While the idiot should not have been driving 120 MPH(FOR ANY REASON).....he sure acted professional once he slowed and stopped.

                How'd I do?

No one here even remotely went there on this, Knight. Just having a laugh mostly. You don't see a trooper pull over a city officer very often. I don't see anything wrong in this video, how was she to know who the guy driving a police car like that was?

Not saying anyone did....but I'm guessing you either forgot or never read most of the "cop" threads here on O.S....hence my little jab.

Also neglected by just watching the video.....it seems as though there is a little history with FHP and MPD with this happening many, many times.
                    That's why the stop.

I will say... It is weird seeing a police officer humbled by another one. And something like this is not something you see every day. So it looks almost odd.

What is up with the drawn weapon though?

I would think because the officer in the Miami PD car has access to a weapon of his own. I guess you just can't assume that he's not a danger.

So why intentionally go out of your way to send a thread down a path that historically doesn't end well?

Plus the guy took forever to stop as if he was trying to evade her for awhile.
