Re: TV of 2011, OS Style
I gave True Blood a 9 and American Horror Story an 8. Although, AHS gets my vote for best new show of the year.
I didn't vote for Community, Parks and Rec or Modern Family. I watched part of the first season of Community and didn't really care for it. It's getting rave reviews now so maybe I'll give it another go. I'm a big fan of Parks and Rec. However, I'm a late comer and only in season 2 which means I couldn't vote for it. I really liked the first season of Modern Family, but don't watch it anymore. It's a little to sitcomy for my taste and all the episodes sort of seemed the same.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Green Bay Packers
Boston Celtics

Re: TV of 2011, OS Style
I enjoyed AHS more than really any other show this year. It was as fun and entertaining as the story was tight. True Blood was probably the best season since season 1. It embraced the legendary campiness, but actually balanced the characters better and more engrossing stories for the remaining cast.I gave True Blood a 9 and American Horror Story an 8. I understand about Modern Family. It is definitely a sit-com and sometimes plays a heavy, moral/sentimental hand, but it is often times hilarious. I don't think its as creative as Community, but I don't see too many sit-com comedies worth watching much anymore.
I need to catch up on so many shows: Parks & Rec, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk, Archer, etc.
I also completely forgot Friday Night Lights was this past season. I would probably bump New Girl out to make room for that.

People really watch those pawn shop and tow truck shows? No offense to anyone but I watched about five minutes of one of those tow truck shows (I think it was a repo show with a bunch of fat people) when I was flipping through channels and I think I lost a few brain cells in the process.

There's a HUGE difference between what's on the History Channel (Pawn Stars, American Pickers, American Restoration) and those fake "reality" shows on TruTV (like the repo show you're talking about). Anything on History>>>>>>> anything on TruTV.People really watch those pawn shop and tow truck shows? Re: TV of 2011, OS Style
I know those tow truck shows are pretty fake. My brother used to drive a tow truck and do police tows during the week and repossessions on weekends and I would go with him on a lot of those tows, especially in the winter time or when he had to go to a bad neighborhood just to back him up. They were highly uneventful to say the least. Doing accident tows for the cops was much more entertaining (also heartbreaking sometimes when there was a fatality) than the repo tows. I have plenty of stories about the accident tows but can't think of a single one of the repo tows that is remotely interesting. The majority of the time, we just drove to where the vehicle was supposed to be at, hooked it up and left. Every now and then someone would discover we were taking their car but all they did was either beg or bribe us not to take or just go back inside. Nobody ever tried to get physical with us or really even mouth off that bad.Comment
