My first thought was, "hmm.. they have a Sammys in Louisiana too"?
I take it, its some sort of restauraunt and not a strip club ? I've been to Sammys in Birmingham just once.. I flipped out when I went to take a piss and there was a guy there putting soap in my hand and turning the water on for me. I tipped him a dollar, but I wasn't going anywhere near the bowl of candy he had, lol.

I think you can actually eat at the Sammys/strip club too.. not that I ever would..

Guess Ralph Smart Mouse was not widely known. I remember reading those books in like the 3rd grade or so. Maybe earlier. I know that The Mouse and the Motorcycle was one of the first novels I completely read through.

Secondly, for the people in Birmingham, Mobile and Pensacola, Sammy's is something completely different which brings your post to a new level of awesome.
I usually get a Swiss Mushroom burger or Wings which are pretty damn good. Their Po-Boys are pretty average though.

Same here. I loved those books. That series and the Wayside School books defined my early elementary school era. Probably why I'm a little ****ed up, too.

I forgot about the Sideways Stories From Wayside School. I also read all of Captain Underpants then too.

Edit: Also I noticed that the Wayside books were where I realized that people with my first name were usually *******s in books/shows for some reason.

What's your first name Tracer? For some reason the story I remember the most is the one about the girl who used to draw a ton of pictures, but then the teacher convinced her that good art takes a little longer to do. That caused her to take like a month on one whisker, haha.

People with my first name in things were usually girls.

That ******* being the exception. Or the person that proves the rule. I can't decide.

                    And Uncle Jesse is awesome.

                    Don't you have Jesse James?

Ahh yes. James was very nearly my middle name until my parents realized they'd be naming me after a criminal.

That said, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford is one of my very favorite movies. Probably top 3.

Jesse Owens. He was kind of a big deal back in the day.

The best Chase I know of is Dr. Chase from Batman Forever, which I will allow simply because Nicole Kidman was mighty, mighty fine in that movie.

I actually know a Jesse James. Graduated high school with him. He was the best pitcher on our school's baseball team.

Same here dude. My girl doesn't recall them... She missed out.

I remember they were rhyming their favorite colors in one book. "The fire truck was red. It hurried."

My favorite was "My favorite color is pink. John is a ratfink." LOL. Goofy stuff. Loved it.

Wayside School books were awesome. I'm pretty sure I read the book with the mouse on a motorcycle too, though I can't remember much about that book.
