And now I'm reminded of the hilarious picture in the NCAA roster forum last year.

The gym at the Y kicked my *** this morning (well technically yesterday morning for you normal people I guess). Probably wasn't the best idea to take my buddy up on his offer to go work out when I had to work like 11 hours later. I can hardly lift my arms above my head.

I have to say it was pretty awesome working out there. The closest I've ever been to actually having a consistent routine of working out was about 2 years ago in high school. After today though I definitely want to make this a habit. I might be sore as **** but it feels good.

I was bit by one as a kid and it's not fun at all.

              Spoiler

              Those things are nasty.

Funny story... Most of my family lives in the Tennessee area. I used to go there every summer from the time I was 11 until about 19 or so. Well, my cousin's dog got bit by a rattlesnake, and it ended up killing him. He loved his dog, so he immediately went out and caught it and caged it. For the rest of the summer, he tortured the hell out of that thing. We were 12 at the time and I can remember it pretty well. He ended up taking a torch to it on some days, beating it with a baseball bat on others, spraying its eyes with pepper sprays on others. It seemed like that snake was always on the verge of dying... But he kept it alive for some reason. Finally, right before I was flying back home to Washington, he shot it in the head with a .22 at point blank range through the cage.

He had the dog for about five years and had it trained so well. It was truly like his best friend. Sounds messed up, I know... That's like future serial killer type stuff, but it goes to show you - don't **** with a man's dog.

Snakes are all over the place down there...

Now that we have a Wegmans, Whole Foods and Harris Teeter my home cook has blown the **** up. Gonna do a goose for Thanksgiving this year, had quail earlier, duck breast, bought a whole halibut the other day, I am eating more lamb than cow these days. I have a buddy who is on the Paleo diet, and has shown me a thing or two. (www.thedomesticman.com) We only eat out now when we are too lazy to cook and there are no leftovers, even then we don't go chain anymore. Small, specialty spots. I can't remember the last time I was at a chain restaurant. Still hit up McDonalds, because drinks are $1.
I can't imagine what I would do if I had those type of stores local. Hell, I've been having fun just with the traditional, mass market stores.

I was talking to my friend last night about grilling, actually. No restaurant, at least no chain restaurant, can come close to what comes off the grill. The chicken I pull off the grill is always moist and slices like butter. The chicken you usually get in a restaurant is a lot drier and the taste is not nearly as abundant. Not to mention most restaurants salads are worthless and I love me a massive toss salad.

And outside of deciding what to cook, its not even that difficult. Last night I had thawed out a chicken breast that I had previously grilled. Heated it up. Threw it in a 100% whole grain wrap with slices of tomato. homemade BBQ sauce, and colby jack cheese and BAM got myself an excellent chicken wrap that could probably contend with anything on a Boston Beanery or Applebee's menu.

I think those of you with PS3s in here need to get NHL 13 so we can start up an OS Vets league.

Just throwing that out there. [/canada]

I don't think there's anything funny about that story at all. In fact, I find it quite disturbing that your friend would do all that to an animal. And I certainly hope he did that without his parents knowledge because that would be messed up on a whole different level if his parents actually let him do that.
