I find Shinedown's cover of Simple Man to be pretty ear-stabbing.

Thats why I said one of them. Belive me I have heard alot worse than that. Maybe the reason I don't like it is because the radio station I listen to tends to overplay that song.

Yes, I forgot about that one and for a good reason. That version is horrible. I actually have a buddy who thinks Shinedowns version is much better than Lynard Skynards version.

I can generally tolerate the singer's vocals, but on that cover its just...I don't even know what he's trying to sound like.

                  John Mayer covered Free Falling.

Girls seem to love it because, well, John Mayer.

I hate it because, well, John Mayer.

Really? I can't wait to never listen to that song.

I would like to submit Disturbed's cover of Genesis - Land of Confusion into consideration. Just awful.

How often do you guys listen to music when at home, and if you do what type of music do you normally have playing?

At my house music gets put on the second one of us walk thru the door. Most likely to hear R&B music being played.

I listen to music a lot. Usually some kind of alternative rock (which could be anything from old punk to the newest stuff), classic rock, reggae, or funk.

Music is on a lot during my day, it ranges. Sometime I just pick a random Pandora station, go through a certain artist on Itunes(usually rap), etc.

When I study i'll go with some alternative rock of the 90s for some reason, randomly I'll go some old school classics of the 70s/80s. While playing NBA/Madden i'll have rap going.

In John Mayer's defense, there was a point in time where his music didn't suck. Unfortunately for him, that time passed about 6 years ago.

Mike Posner and Cartel both covered Wonderwall and they're both pretty solid.

I hate music.....so it doesn't get played at all in my house. The only time music is played is when I'm in the car and even then it really is just on for background noise.

You hate music? Music is one of the greatest things the world has to offer. Right behind ***** and food. I could never live in a world without music.

Best part is you can enjoy all three things at once.
