These Friday history classes may be the most pointless things I have ever attended.

Aren't you a freshmen ? All freshmen classes are pretty much pointless. Enjoy the ride.....come junior year, the crap going to hit the fan.

I remember when I worked at Walmart, we had a meeting everyday at 3pm in the back right where customer pick up desk was at. Then at the end we had to do that stupid Walmart cheer loud as hell.

Customers use to walk by and say WTF are they doing ? I tried to avoid those meetings like the plague because they went around and snagged 2 people from every department to attend that BS meeting.

Meetings were always the same. We either made quota for the week or we didn't and had to really push customers to buy stuff they don't need. To this day I can still remember my store manager yelling: "Accessories people ! Get these people to buy accessories for everything they buy. If they buy peanut butter then damn it get them to buy jelly along with it. "

I work for a military contracting office.

Basically we're summarizing goals we've met for the week. What we need to focus on next week and our budgets for certain contracts. It's painful, especially seeing I have no involvement in the recruiting process I'll be lucky if I'm out of here by 5 tonight with the way these things drag on.

If I could attend this in my own office I would. I'd then put the phone on mute and take a nap.

I am a junior too and if my instructors didn't make attendance part of our grade (I still have no idea why college teachers do this) I would hardly never show up. Literally all my classes I just sit there and space out while the professor talks, then I leave, go home and do my homework/papers/projects, and do just fine in the class. Attendance being part of your grade is something that should stop after high school, IMO.

Just scored free tickets to the Northwestern/Iowa game.

Nice... both are teams I like a lot... obviously I'll be cheering for the Hawkeyes, but I've always had a spot in my heart for the Wildcats... even the multiple times they've broken my heart as an Iowa fan... At any rate, Ryan Field is one of my favorite stadiums in college football and one I want to attend a game at someday...

The only soda I like is clear soda like Sprite or ginger ale or sierra mist. And the only soda my wife drinks is diet pepsi.

What the hell is soda? My favorite pop is Dr Pepper.

My high school had vending machines in one place only and that was inside the gym room. Which was stupid because the gym room doors were locked at all times and the only way to get up in there was up through the locker room.

My school had a vending machine in an entrance hall between the gym and cafeteria. I occasionally got a bottle of pop out of it at the end of the day, but not very often.
