NBA Live '95 on SNES. Might still be my favorite all-time basketball game.

Hands down one of the greatest names in sports history. Steed Malbranque is still my favorite though. However, when I was playing FM last week, one of my scouts returned a report on this Tranmere player:

        Max Power

Right, and I was like 3 when Jam came out. So I guess that validates his obscurity to my generation.

Also, to add a couple more:
This recent Armstrong discussion got me thinking of all those old Bulls players: John Paxson, Horace Grant, Luc Longley, Bill Wennington, etc...
          Which (somehow) brought me to:
Michael Olowakandi, Olden Polynice, Will Perdue, Hershey Hawkins, Joel Pryzbylla etc...

I could probably keep going with basketball players, but all stop there. But I also thought of Ryan Theriot of the Cubs. Also, going way old school, I have always liked baseball history so I'll throw these guys in as well:
Joe Tinker, Frank Chance, Johnny Evers, King Kelly (awesome story about him: he once caught a fly ball while sitting on the bench and claimed it to be an out. There was no rule about it back then, so there was great confusion and finally the call went against him. They later created a rule stating that that was, indeed, illegal.), Ray Chapman, Jim Kaat and Walter Johnson (though the latter two aren't as obscure).

Ah, yes... I had completely forgotten about him until I was playing Live 2000 on the PSOne this summer.

Oil Can makes me jump to a couple more baseball players with fantastic names: Storm Davis and Bill "Spaceman" Lee

I didn't mention him mostly because I was afraid I'd get the "How is he obscure?" spiel.

I liked Bill Swift (before his 20 win season) and for some damn reason Keith Comstock.

Hell, I like pretty much every utility player too.

For a while my favorite Sonic was Vincent Askew.

                    Lol

I had 96 for the Sega Genesis. Loved that game. All I would do was turn fouls off and crash into people using Dennis Rodman and the turbo boost. I don't even care that it was cheating. It was way too much fun.

Oil Can Boyd is great for coked out interviews on local sports talk radio here. Guy holds absolutely nothing back.

God Shammgod tried to(looking back he may have) sleep with a friend's girlfriend while attending PC.

Again, I think we can chalk that up to a generational thing. I know who Oil Can is, but ask a lot of baseball fans my age (which are few and far between in the first place) who he is and you'll get a lot of blank stares.

I watched Oil Can pitch for the Expos back in 90' or so. So damn long ago but I remember the game.
