Sports games are really the only games I play. Always by NCAA as well as NASCAR now that someone is making those games again. Had bought the last couple Maddens and NHL's but skipped both this year, the former because no imported draft classes in CC mode and a bunch of other problems I'd heard about and the latter because of the lockout.

Same here. I'm terrible at shooters and nothing else really interests me that much... but, also to my detriment (or perhaps it's a good thing, not sure), I'm too cheap to buy the newest game every year (with the exception of FIFA.). So I currently play NCAA 12, NBA 2k13 (have never owned an NBA 2k before this one), FIFA 13, NCAA Basketball 09 (sucks, only reason I still play it is because my CH2k8 disc isn't reading right... I really need to do something about that.) and the occasional game of MLB 2k11 for baseball season. I also own NCAA FB 10 (really need to sell that) and Madden 09 (which I pretty much never play... 08 for my PC gets more play time than my copy of 09.)... thinking about potentially getting a used copy of NHL 12 or something... I'm just angry that no one makes a college basketball game any more.

That good, crabcake? I've always wanted to give FIFA a go but never pull the trigger.

FIFA is fantastic. I can hardly put that game down at times.

FIFA is fantastic. I can hardly put that game down at times.

I've been a FIFA gamer for awhile, but one thing I love about it is that you can pick it up and play a match in 10 minutes. It doesn't take 30-40 minutes like some of the football games.

Exactly. I've been playing (on the XBox) since 11 and have 08 and 09 for the PC. The best part for me is that, even if I play every game (which I don't, I'll play about half), I can still knock out ten games in a couple of hours or so. Also, I love the variety. There are tons of different things I can do even just with in Career Mode. I had a manager CM with Wolverhampton, and, for whatever reason, just wasn't feeling it, so I decided to start a new one, managing Atletico Madrid (sp?) and I love it so far. I'm enjoying the large budget but am also enjoying the fact that I've still got some work to do if I want to be at the top of La Liga any time soon. Also, I've started a player career as a striker for a League One team (which team is a fact that is escaping me right now). It just adds to the replay value for an offline only player like me.

Next week, I've got 2 tests (Tuesday and Wednesday), a video to edit together (not due til Thursday), and a 5 page paper due on Tuesday that I haven't even started... and I'm sitting here watching Bender's Game... and you know what? I'm perfectly okay with that.

So I'm playing my UNCA legacy in CH2K8.. won my conference tournament as the #3 seed in the Big South, had a 16-12 record... and I got a 13 seed in the NCAA tournament.

I'll take it, but kind of odd.

As for games, I used to be a strictly sports gamer, but I've expanded the last 5 years or so. I still play mostly sports games, but I've gotten into 3rd person action games (Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, etc). I bought Madden for the first time since 09 and am enjoying the Vets CCM that I'm in. Started CH2K8 back up last week. Thinking about trading in Sleeping Dogs and a couple of older games toward getting XCOM.
