Re: Off Topic 2012
It's very boring, around where I live.
There's stuff going on in other parts of the state, but around here sucks.
That's why I spend so much time in the Birmingham area. If I get this job working for AT&T, there's a good chance I may be making a move..
I have some close friends here and family, but I'll still come see them on the weekends, if I move..
My top places to live (if money wasn't an issue) Denver, NYC, LA, and Chicago..
I know it sounds crazy to some, especially since I grew up in the South, but I actually like the big cities..Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
Yeah, somewhere in Colorado, or somewhere in the Northwest; Washington, Oregon, or southwestern Canada (Vancouver). Otherwise, I'm pretty cool with where I am or relatively close. Actually, southern DE is pretty decent. Got beaches half an hour away, it's pretty rural, but still ~2 hours from DC/Baltimore, Philly, a little further to NYC so you're not completely in teh sticks. It's actually a growing part of the state, which is cool. And better air. Got so much cancer from living around here...NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Off Topic 2012
I never want to live in a big city like LA,NYC,etc.
However I don't mind living in like medium type cities or just urban type areas. I loved Jupiter,FL so much cause I lived in a rural area type of the town but drive another 6 miles and i'm in town and near the beach, etc.
Now that I think of it I'm not sure I could live in a pure rural area like I did in Breaux Bridge again.
I think after college my top areas to live would be Baton Rouge/NO, FL, and maybe NC(I have family up there and I've enjoyed the times i've visited)Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I'd be 100% fine with living in Blacksburg for the rest of my life. I know that isn't going to be my life's trajectory, though. When I was in Seattle last summer I loved it. I hope I get to live up there someday.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Off Topic 2012
I'm about 45m-1hr minutes away from Birmingham/Hoover/Vestavia/etc.
1 1/2-ish from Tuscaloosa
I can even get to Atlanta, GA quicker than I can get to Auburn..
So I have to plan ahead, when I make trips down for games..
It's a little pre mature, but I've been all ready looking at places near Trussville. It's a rock throw away from anything major in Birmingham, but It's not right smack dab in the middle of it and the shopping, eating, etc. is great..Comment
