One does not need to watch baseball to follow baseball. Watching the sport on TV is awful. Following the standings and stats is more than enough.

But yeah, seriously, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know the Cubs winning the World Series is not gonna happen.

This season, no. But eventually the Cubs will win a World Series. Just like someday, the Jaguars will win the Super Bowl. Or Virginia Tech will win a championship in...something. It's just bound to happen.

Only problem is, Earth will implode from the amount of celebration in Chicago. So it may not be worth it. I imagine it will be like that ad, but multiplied by 104.

I'm confused. I only heard one buzzer after the white team made a shot then everyone went of the court but the clock appeared to still be running then they came back and the black team made a shot followed by everyone rushing the court, but I didn't hear a buzzer preceding the court rush.

That running clock you saw was the timeout clock.

And the buzzer happens after the airball clearly before the rebound shot is taken.

Regarding baseball: It sometimes puts me to sleep watching it on TV but I LOVE the live experience of the game which is odd because even in the good seats I need binoculars...Oh well

Re: watching baseball. I don't watch it that much either. I might flip to a game for a bit if I'm already sitting at my TV watching something else or if I see that someone is about to get a no-hitter. Otherwise, I'll generally have epsn.com gamecast open on my PC when the Pirates are playing and just follow that while I'm doing other stuff.

My problem with baseball is I've learned I can live and die by Tigers telecasts, but when I watch other teams I'm really "meh" (outside of the playoffs). I have the same issue with hockey, I'm on the edge of my seat watching the Wings, but non-playoff games among teams I don't have a rooting interest for (or against) my mind tends to wander elsewhere. I've noticed this doesn't really happen with football and basketball though.

edit: I want to clarify that I enjoy baseball and hockey, and choose to watch them over golf or nascar, but if football or basketball are on (barring games involving my teams) I'll watch them instead

I enjoy watching baseball as long as it's the Marlins, most other times I don't care that much as I don't know everyone on the team or just frankly don't are who wins.

With the Marlins I'll sit there and watch every pitch if I'm not doing anything

I'm a fan of the Mets (SHUT UP >____< ) but on the list of sports i watch, baseball is way down on the list behind multiple sports. Though growing up my pops had Mets games on every time they played like clockwork for most of the years i lived with him. I won't watch other teams play at all either.

Now a days though i follow their record and such, but rarely watch a game. Usually something else holds my interest over baseball be it gaming, books, anime whatever.


Doesn't help the Mets suck. (SHUT UP. >___<)

I can only watch an entire baseball game if the Indians are on, or i'm at a game.
