So it hit me today how much other people I know are doing with their lives. A guy I went to school with (graduated 2 years after me) just got engaged. They've been dating for a little over a year, and I used to have a huge crush on the fiancee. I dumped my fiancee this past May because she wouldn't stop smoking. My friend is about to spend the rest of his life with the girl that I wanted, and here I am all pissed off and lonely because I can't man up and talk to girls. I'm pathetic.

Oh, I definitely breezed through High School. I've never been to college, but it's not because I couldn't.. I've just chose not to.

I had a much tougher time with middle school (5-8) and the teachers were much more strict. As far as high school goes, I did pass every single HS graduation exam on the first try my 10th grade year, so I just had to get my credits and required classes out of the way and it was smooth sailing.

I only went to school half a day my senior year, because I had a job, even though I didn't usually go into work until late evening.

The last semester of my senior year, I had a teachers aid block and a sociology block, followed by leaving at 11:15...

The semester before that was Business Ed (I played my SNES emulator almost every day and talked) and a Zoology class, followed by leaving at 11:15

In HS I tried Freshman year, but my classes were pretty easy. After that I just got so tired from football,etc(I never got enough sleep) that I slept more in class and I just didn't want to do homework especially if I could afford it.

After my disastrous sophomore year I stepped it up some, I got some good teachers junior year. My AP Human Geo class is where it kinda started as I had to do a lot of work and I wanted College credit so I paid attention, that then translated to my Dual Enrollment classes and 2 APs senior year.

If I could slack off in my other honors classes I would, but meh whatever I graduated, got into FSU and came in with 12 college credits already(18 after summer session).

Had straight As from Elem-Middle basically(if I had some Bs it was in English) translated into Freshman year and then yeah I became the slacker I am today

So I guess today I have to take my *** to a doctor. My back has been annoying me since Friday night when I originally messed it up at work and it was getting really bad tonight, which happened to be my first night back (my weekends lately have been Sunday-Tuesday). Of course during my weekend I didn't do anything about it. I figured maybe it'd just fade away but it hasn't and it's been 5-6 days. The pain itself is in my lower back. I think it might even be my spine, so it's probably not a good idea to wait any longer.

Also, I almost got hit by a truck getting to my bus stop this morning. Completely my fault because I was being a *******, but yeah, pretty crazy. If that went down then I really would of had to go to the doctor.

Regarding all this talk about not being motivated because of how easy HS was and all that jazz...

Best motivation ever is seeing your brother go through all that and turn into a complete **** up. He was smarter than me and pretty much every other person back in HS and he's now failed 1 class every semester of college and withdrawn from another class every semester... gonna need to go back for his 6th year of school to graduate with a degree that he doesn't even want.

I think that stuff alone was enough to get my *** in shape. I ended up getting a full academic scholarship to Syracuse and after struggling to adjust my first semester, I've been on Dean's List ever since (although this semester is seriously kicking my ***, but that's because I missed the past 2 weeks because of back issues/the flu).

High School: Slacked off, did homework at last second, didn't really try hard to do anything (well, except my German class, which I enjoyed so I actually tried in it), graduated with a 3.8 GPA and around 60th in class rank of a senior class of around 350+ kids.

High school really didn't prepare me at all for College/real world stuff. I'm somehow sitting on a 3.1 GPA (3.2 in major) after three semesters, but I feel like I've done so much more to try to get to that spot than what I did in high school.

I'm listening to the radio right now and apparently these two parents left their 3 year old kid at Chuck E. Cheese without realizing it. They're not together so they both went home thinking the other had the kid, until they seen a report on the news that a missing child was found and it was their kid.

How in the blue hell are some people even allowed to have kids? Just.....wow.

My fiance' spilled coffee on my laptop keyboard... I got it cleaned up pretty well I think. Google'd what I should do, and it just scared me. It's working now... we'll see how it goes. Sticky as ****. I hit it with a Clorox wipe but I guess it didn't work that well.

She sent herself to the basement as punishment. lol I AIN"T EVEN MAD. Yet...

I do have a 2 year warranty on this piece, and it's been just under a year. Problem is, I can't find the receipt... I just moved and noticed I couldn't find it and thought well hopefully nothing happens. Of course it happens now... Pisses me off because I KNOW I saved it in this one drawer but I think she moved it at some point. Hopefully they have me on file or else I'm gonna snap... Or at least let this machine stay alive. It's treated me well.
