Got my state refund a few days ago. My federal refund had some issues (my fault), so it'll be another week or two.

In other news... I start my new job today. Been there a few times, doing interviews, getting a tour of the place, watching safety videos, but today is the real thing. Studying the menu all today so I won't be lost when/if I get thrown into the fire. Got a week of training/following people. I'm officially getting nervous. But I'm excited.

I know you can do turbo tax for free (and others) if you meet certain wage requirements, but other than that you pay unless you just do it by yourself.

Most offer free federal.

If you don't live in a no state tax state like Florida or Texas, you pay for state return, unless like FT said, you do it yourself on paper.

My step-sister paid me $40 to write her a paper debating which of John Locke and Thomas Hobbes contributed more to the Revolutionary Period in America. She just texted me saying that the paper referenced many things from her class (which I obviously did not attend).

Yowza... was just talking to a friend online, was describing my downstairs neighbor (we're having another music war) as "spike lee's twin". Her response, "oh and who is spike lee?"
