It's about to finish but I missed the first 35 min or so, really great film. I think I'm going to pick it up on Blu Ray now. I like it that much and it's like a who's who of actors in it (may of them kinda unknown at the time I'm sure).

Not looking at the credits but so far I've recognized...

      John Voight
      Gene Hackman
      Jack Black
      Seth Green
The sniper dude from Saving Pvt Ryan
      Gary Busey's son (teeth)
Ice Cube's sister from Friday (Southland too I think?)
and a few others that I'm drawing a blank on right now.

I think I've concluded that I don't like people in general and that a facebook purge is in order for the weekend. I haven't decided if I want to still us it to keep up with family or just get rid of it altogether. It has served its purpose, but it grows increasingly pointless with the passing of each day.

          Good conclusion you've come to.

This is beyond ridiculous. There have been 3, yes 3, bomb threats at Pitt's Cathedral of Learning in the past 2 weeks. They need to find the person(s) responsible and slap some sense into them.

Ok this is weird, the Dish guy actually showed up today out of nowhere. Totally didn't see it coming, and even weirder considering I was just bitching about it on here last night.

He didn't get me a new receiver box, but he said he ordered one. Now tell me if this sounds right... he said UPS would deliver it probably Monday or Tuesday so if I see the UPS truck in the parking lot I should go out there and get it. Then I have to call him to get it activated (which my friend will have to do). It sounded odd to me, Dish doesn't bring the receiver over themselves? And why would I have to go out to the parking lot to get it, UPS won't come to my door? I should've asked him if he has to come over to activate it or if he can do it over the phone.

Not that you have to if you don't want to. I've just never heard of anyone having it.
It's a result of a series of head injuries/concussions basically. I picked up massive anxiety problems, panic disorders, OCD, hell I'm even bipolar (supposedly). The phone thing is hard for me to explain but it's like pointless to even try to talk on the phone because I'll either forget every word that is spoken, or I'll just flat out lose my voice.

                Do it.

I love having a cleaned up news feed with no nonsense from people I never talk to, and life stories from people I don't care about. Also, no spam from all the apps and games is wonderful.

I have thought of getting rid of it, but because of family I keep it active.

To me it seems strange that UPS is bringing the receiver to you, maybe it's cause satellite systems are the property of owner usually and cable components you just rent from the local cable company. Just be glad for strange occurrences and count the minutes till that bad boy arrives.

Just don't be that person that posts: "Hey guys, I think its time I improve myself by deleting you." That **** is annoying and no one really cares about your plans to delete them.

Just keep the Facebook, and delete those who aren't important. Every now and then, I clean up mine of people I really don't care to ever communicate with. I never was one to request tons of people. In fact, I've only requested a handful of people in my time on Facebook, the rest added me. I never really used Facebook like that, if you know what I mean.

I mostly use my Facebook for my closest friends, sharing music, talking sports, and every now and then to organize an event.

That is normal. Dish Network don't ever bring a replacement unit, they mail it to you. And when you want to cancel it, YOU have to mail it back to them. And if that receiver gets lost in the shipping process, Dish Network will hold YOU responsible for it and to charge YOU $500 for that box.

But yeah you have to call them and tell them the serial number on the back or bottom of the receiver for they can activate it. I had them 10 years ago for a couple of years and dropped them for Comcast.

And want to know what else sucks about Dish Network ? They won't come remove the satellite dish off the roof of your house unless YOU pay them to do it. Only thing they want back and care about is the receiver.

For some people, a good number of people actually, Facebook, much like Myspace, Yahoo Messenger and every other social media outlet before it, is their lives. Especially those who are disabled or stay at home wives. I know people that literally wake up and chat on there ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT on up until 4am.

It is their life, all of their friends are online friends. Everybody they date comes off of online social media outlets.

                                Re: Off Topic 2012

Pretty sure I'm gonna go ahead and look for a second job. My job keeps jerking me around, fluctuating my hours... 20-22 one week, 30 the next, then scheduling me for an open-close, then telling me I only need to come in to close, eliminating 6 of the hours I was counting on in a week where I needed a day off for a family memorial...

If I work 25-ish hours there and 10-15ish somewhere else, I think it'll be alright. I really should be working more and making as much money as possible, and just when I think I've got a good, set schedule, they change it up.

The idiots never changed my pay rate when I turned in my manager's keys a month ago. I'm getting paid all the same this whole time when, had I stayed on as a shift manager, I would have had to take a pay cut when the closing manager clocked in. They've got their heads so far up their asses here, but hell if I'm saying anything. I've been helping out trying to get as many hours as possible, but I think they're starting to use me as a shift manager again when I'm technically not one and kind of suckering me into closing the place down by myself, which I had expressed to them I had no interest in doing. But they have all the leverage as I need all the hours and money I can get... if I get this second job, I won't feel so cornered.

It's funny, when they came to me and this other shift manager about them cutting our pay when we weren't technically running the shift (like if I opened, when the closing manager clocked in), one of the new shift managers was saying we shouldn't complain seeing as how he isn't getting paid the same as us and did more at his old job at a different chain. Fast forward about a month, and they still haven't raised his pay rate, and he's all pissy about it. I've been half-seriously joking to him that he loves to work for less so why is he so angry?

These crappy jobs will take every opportunity to get over and use you. And they can get away with it because these people are just too naive or too stupid to see what's going on. Now this dude is out two paychecks worth of money he should have been making (meanwhile, I'm getting paid more then what I'm supposed to be). These people will just do whatever they're told and never ask why...
