Re: Off Topic 2012
I'll hit you guy with another 'social media' trivia question.
Why do people on Facebook announce on their Facebook that they're getting ready to delete people ? Are they looking for people to acknowledge them or something ? If someone wanted to delete me, I would rather them just do it.
I'm not begging to be 'friends' with anyone on the ****ing internet, whether I know them in real life or not. Then again, everyone on my friends list, I know personally.. all 327 of them. + there are several I see that I don't even care to add.. just because I didn't like them in school.
People use to do that on Myspace, Excite, Yahoo Groups, Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, Mplayer, Pal Talk.....
That is just as bad as people threatening to delete their account. Nobody talking to me, I'm going to delete my account then ! I use to always say, Ok, bye.....Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
Just never understood the whole Facebook, Myspace "Celebrity" status.
Must be sad to measure your life's worth based upon how many Facebook friends you have? and most of the people they add on the social websites they don't even know in real life.Minnesota Vikings

Re: Off Topic 2012
I'm guilty of checking my Facebook several times a day and making the occasional post, but I do still think several of the aspects are stupid.
I don't have to be tuned in to what everyone is doing, but it is nice to keep up with some of the people I went to school with for the majority of my life.
The ones I don't care about, I either block what they have to say or just don't add them.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
I can honestly say......I really don't talk to anybody from high school anymore. Even my best friend in high school, we haven't talked in 7 months....
I suppose because for our graduating class, most of us left Chicago and we all living in different parts of the world. Some live in Texas, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Virginia, different parts of Canada, some live in Spain, UK and Germany now.
Maybe just a dozen or so from my class still living in IL and we had a little over 500 people in our graduating class.Comment

What I don't understand is the people that spend hours upon hours on the social media sites, sending non stop messages, posting bulletins, setting up chats, trying to get 2,569 friends. (some obnoxious number) Mostly with people they don't know, to try and make them seem like some super internet celebrity. Heh, it isn't a substitute for going out and interacting with people in the real breathing, living world.Minnesota Vikings

Re: Off Topic 2012
Also if you click on someone's xbox360 link it pops in the center of the screen. It never did either of these on Firefox but right now I'm on Chrome (doubt that has anything to do with it).
I'm gonna go on Firefox again real quick to check, but yes I did notice this as well Burgh.
EDIT: Just checked, it's like that now on both for me so that def isn't the reason.Comment
