Yeah. Was actually at a dinner theater in D.C. during a junior/senior class field trip my junior year in high school. The play was "Fiddler on the Roof" so I guess all the entree's had a Russian theme. Your description makes it sound like something I'd like so maybe I just had bad luck that night as all I remember is that it was very bland and I had some intestinal issues later that night.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Actually there is an alternative (more traditional russian) recipe that is not breaded and it is baked. It also uses tarragon as it's primary herb. That could have been the issue. We've americanized this classic by frying it!Last edited by Chef Matt; 03-27-2012, 12:07 PM.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Yeah, it was probably the traditional Russian version that I had then. I definitely don't remember it being fried.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2012
So, if we could travel at speeds much faster than light, and set up camp 65 million light years away, could we get a telescope so powerful that we could see Earth, and then not only look at how the Earth looked back then(the continents shape, amount of ice, etc.) but could we also wait and see if a meteorite did strike the Earth and kill all dinosaurs?
I mean, it all seems to make sense in my head. It also seems like if we had the telescope focused in on the Earth the entire time somehow, that as the ship carrying it flew at those insane speeds from Earth, we'd basically get to watch the history of Earth in reverse from the time it left to however many light years away they went. So in my head I feel as we traveled from 60 million light years away to 70 million light years away, that we'd be able to see what happened in the time frame, but on a very fast forward like reel.
So to me, that basically means if we flew 10 million light years per hour, that flying from 60 to 70 million light years away, we'd see every single thing that happened in those 10 million years all in one hour, and then could go back and watch the footage at any speed we wanted which would then allow us to slow it down whenever and we could pick any part of history after a few simple math equations so we'd know exactly what part of history we're looking at, and then we'd know for sure what the Earth looked like, the climate, etc.
This whole idea seems like it could benefit so much of science and history. Do you guys even understand me at all, or have I gone crazy all of a sudden?HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Off Topic 2012
Stout's GDD and Computer Science programs are so beyond ****ed up it's terrible. Over half the classes I need for next semester aren't even offered during the fall, which then pushes back many of my other classes back even further. At this rate, I'll be here for 6 years at least...Comment
