Re: Off Topic 2012
Wow, is it give your medical history night on OS tonight? I'd give you mine, but it would probably exceed the maximum character limit for posts (if there is one). Mainly just many many many ear infections growing up and a number of surgeries to try and stop them.
Ativan is what worked for me. I was like a totally different person lol, and in a good way. But for whatever reason, my new doctor refused to prescribe it, even though I never abused it and had no history of pill abuse. She preferred to prescribe stuff over and over that didn't work, so eventually I just said screw it and stopped altogether.
There are some meds I can go without for a few days and others that if I don't take daily then it's not good. Though those ones are also large doses so that doesn't help. I will say even though I hate seeing the rainbow of pills in my hand every morning and night, I feel like a totally different person and this is a good thing.
Might be a dumb question, but I'm about 90% sure I have a pinched nerve in my neck and/or back. Would I go to my family doctor about this or my chiropractor? My chiropractor doesn't think I have any problems, but I have constant neck and back pain with tingling and weakness in my left arm.
I've even been able to avoid taking narcotic pain killers the two or three times they've been prescribed (I one time got prescribed pain killers for a broken finger after I told them the pain level was a 3 or 4 and that the only reason I came in is that is had swelled too much for me to be able to do anything).
Also, the last part reminded me of an incident when I was in college. I'd gone to the health center with this weird rash (later diagnosed as pityrhiassis which I think was a geenralized allergic reaction to a solution I was using frequently during my senior projec) and the Doctor kept saying he could give me something for the itching even though I repeatedly told him it didn't itch.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Autism does come in many forms. Hell, I'm pretty sure I have some form of it. As for bipolar disorder, I have 2 cousins (on opposite sides of the family) who have it.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2012
The definition of autism is insanely broad. I have a non-verbal learning disability that is technically a form of autism and basically, when I tell someone that I'm autistic, they normally go through the whole "Yeah, right, I know you're lying" thing for about five minutes, until I finally convince them that I'm telling the truth... apparently I'm good at hiding it. Who knew?MLB: Minnesota Twins

The therapist also said I have mild PTSD from all the yelling. My other personality traits/disorders depending on who you ask is I'm not good at reading other peoples emotions, I've really gotta keep my mouth shut because I'll say something inappropriate. My sense of humor is horrible and I find something funny in everything. I'm pretty lethargic about a lot of stuff and really have to try to act excited or show the appropriate emotions.
My wife hates that I can't be there emotionally.

Re: Off Topic 2012
I totally heard about that on the radio on my way to work out. That's freaking crazy. There's not even a zoo or anything anywhere near there. Last I heard they hadn't found it yet. Good luck finding a tiger at night...Comment

Re: Off Topic 2012
It's been exactly four years (give or take a few hours), since I graduated high school. I still remember graduation, the party, and bits and pieces of the week we spent in Panama City. Senior Week was a lot of fun. It's probably a good damn thing I wasn't legal to drink, because I did plenty anyways + some other **** I won't talk about.
It's amazing how much growing up takes place between 18-22. I actually have some strong goals I hope to achieve, in life. Of course I still like to have some fun, but I just can't do it every night, anymore.Comment
