Cancer sucks. My aunt just passed away with cancer, she was only in her 40s. I feel awful for her two teenage kids, I can't imagine what they're going through...

Cancer definitely sucks. I lost my grandfather due to complications from cancer last year. It'll be exactly a year in all of 12 days. My condolences go out to you and your family.

So my window A/C unit can't keep up with the heat, which I learned last summer. Well it just got worse, the kitchen circuit blew about an hour ago, affecting the A/C, fridge, oven, etc. I went down to the basement to check the circuit breaker and it wasn't labeled for each apartment I noticed one labeled 20 something (the 2 was clear but not the 2nd digit) and I'm in 29 and it looked like the only circuit tripped off, so I turned it on. Came back up to the apartment and there was still no kitchen power so I probly ****ed someone elses **** up (although I don't know how turning power ON would ruin anything).

Now the tricky part, it's Sunday so there are no maintenance guys floating around outside, and I have the telephobia still going on, not like the landlord would answer anyway. But wait! What's that?! A wild maintenance worker appears, outside walking her dog!! I run out there and flag her down just in time! Turns out she just does the clean up and painting & stuff but her bf is one of the regular maintenance dudes, so she sent him right over. He gets here and tried to reset the wall switches, which didn't work. He went to the basement and noticed the same thing I noticed, all the switches are turned on. He can't figure out the problem and he isn't the electrician of the team, so I can't get help until 8am tomorrow at the earliest. Meanwhile it's up to 92 degrees in here and I need to run down to walmart for a sandwich and ice. Grrr!!!

Damn, that sucks. Sounds kind of like what happened to me around last Thanksgiving. However, in my building each unit has its own fuse box with 2 circuits, one for outlets and one for ceiling fixtures I think. Anyway, the problem turned out to be a fried wire behind my dishwasher. Hopefully they can get it fixed for you quickly.

I quit watching when Dizzy died. I literally turned my TV off. I had to work up the courage to finish watching it on Netflix from the beginning.

Certainly, these off the top of my head that i'll just general names for spoiler reasons to be safe:
Final Fantasy 7(I legitly shed some tears)
Armageddon
Harry Potter
Final Fantasy X(Pretty emotional ending again for me as well)

There's more i'm sure i'm forgetting

I was probably 6 or 7 when I first watched the movie, and I still nearly cried when Harry died.

Hrmm....I think I legit cried when I read the final Harry Potter book. When one of the twins died...I just about flung the book across the room

Armageddon's a good movie. I kept thinking Bruce Willis would survive like so many other action heroes. That was my first brush with mortality in an action film where the main hero actually died. And stayed dead.

I was upset when he died, but I think Hedwig dying upset me more.

We mentioned Smallville a couple pages back, and since not everyone has seen it yet: :wink:

When Jonathan Kent died, that's about as close to tears as I think I've been brought by a movie or tv show

And then there's a couple deaths in Spartacus. And one in Game of Thrones.
