Next week is going to be Hell. We've got a large shipment of toner coming Monday, as well as unboxing a few machines (we've already got 3 of 5) for an upcoming install (no clue when that'll be, but we need the machines unboxed, set up, and staged for when we do move them), and we're receiving ~10 new machines (not counting accessories) sometime during the week as well.

We've also got another big order that we'll have to tackle in the future. No clue when we're going to start pulling machines for that one though. That's like another 5-6 machines.

Snow White & The Huntsman? I actually thought that looked fairly interesting. Not interesting enough to see it in theaters, but interesting enough that it won't be terrible.

On another note, I'm off of work tomorrow. First time I've had a Saturday off in a while.

Got that job I interviewed for today. It's a sales/marketing position, and the owner/manager said you can work from home or office (calling businesses, setting up meetings/consultations). We do images for signage, clothing, pretty much anything.

I'm thinking I'm gonna use it as a side income. But we'll see how it goes as I'm commission-based, which I wasn't expecting. I was hoping it would replace my current job as a full time gig and serve a couple nights a week. Just gotta wait and see how it goes. I am excited about the opportunity and grateful I have the luxury of having 2 jobs while so many can't find even one. Meanwhile, working the contacts to see if there's a day job that I can depend on as a steady paycheck. There's potential with commission and tips but I'm just worried about the uncertainty. I have to know I have an income. Exciting but nervous time!

So, I'm driving home from work in the right lane of a two lane street. I'm doing about 35-40mph. At the end of the street it a gas station. This huge black woman in her car is sitting in the driveway of this gas station waiting to turn out. There's a long line of cars in the left lane, and I assume she's waiting to turn left (going the opposite direction I was going down the street). Nope. Instead she decides to start to turn right in front of me. I slam on my brakes to avoid hitting her. Suddenly, from a gap in the line in the left lane, shoots a Toyota Camry turning left into the gas station. If I hadn't slammed on the brakes for the woman being an idiot and pulling out of the drive way directly in front of me, I'd have likely been T-boned or worse, clipped in the left rear (which would have curved me into the line of cars in the left lane).


tl;dr My life was saved by an idiot driver making a stupid decision which caused me to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting her, which resulted in me not only not hitting her, but also not being hit by another car.

I posted before about the seashell necklace I was making as a present for my girlfriend. This is how it's looking so far. Actually came out a lot better than I expected.

Edit: I'm not actually using the shell that's currently on there. The one I'm using is more purple and white and it's going to have a glossy clear coat on it. This one was just for practice so I don't screw up with the actual shell.

To update on this, went over to a lady's house that makes stuff like this professionally... broke the shell that my girlfriend had said was her favorite from the collection (she doesn't know I'm making her a necklace out of it, I just showed her the shells that I had been collecting while I was in the Outer Banks). Currently working on sanding the shell off a little bit to try to smooth it out so that I can still use it.
