Nope. They wanted equality...

Jk, but it's not something I do. It's one thing to hold a door open (I'll do that for anyone when I'm going in or out of a building, man, woman, or child). But I'm not opening car doors for anyone unless they're handicapped and can't do it themselves.

That's where I stood on the subject. I've never opened a car door before, but I Always hold other doors open. Hell, I do that for random people every day.

Bacon sundae.......is nasty. To me anyway. They put a good amount of bacon in it. One whole strip sticking out and then another 2 strips broken into pieces put on top of it.

Witnessed this on campus my last day there yesterday:

Every Saturday afternoon this occurs on FSU campus, with like 20 people. We were playing football once and then all of a sudden we see like 20 people just running around in circles trying to kill each other.

There is also some large scale Humans vs. Zombies kind of thing with nerf guns. It's fun to be walking then seeing 10-20 out of shape kids trying to run.

Everything is better with bacon. If you get a bacon ice cream from a gourmet ice cream shop its a world of difference than one from a fast food chain IMO.

So, now I'm going on a month of slothfulness and it has already gotten old.

My efforts at finding a summer job have been rather fruitless as the three places that have shown interest (I've submitted 20+ applications in all) have turned me down since I could not work the shift they wanted me to once school starts. I really thought I was about to land a job at Wal-Mart working graveyard shift, but they denied me during the interview because I could only work that shift through mid-August. I'm willing to continue to work part-time during college (and I'd prefer to, actually), but they said that won't work since I can't continue to work during the same shift.

Sigh...

I guess I'll keep on sending out applications, but this just sucks. The unemployment rates for youths nationwide is awful, but it is even worse here in North Carolina, where we have the fourth-highest overall unemployment rate in the nation (9.4%).

Thankfully, I'm not in dire need of money or anything, but the boredom is getting to me. I'm likely going to transfer from NC State to UNCG to get into economics in the fall, so I don't even think summer school (second session starts in late June) is an option since I am not technically enrolled in the school yet (besides, no relevant courses are offered during the second session).

But, it is what it is. I'd definitely like to have a job, though, whether it be full-time, part-time, or whatever.

Sitting around all day gives you a special sense of worthlessness, though I have been making frequent biking trips to some local trails as of late to give me something to do. Plus, it's good for you!

As a side note and a positive one, I have lost quite a bit of weight since March, when I tipped the scales at nearly 190 lbs. Now, I am down to 170 lbs. (I am 6'0", BTW), mainly by watching what I'm eating (and drinking ... Mountain Dew!!!) and also trying to exercise more via bicycles and such.

I know exactly what you mean. Trying to find a summer job was horrible. Everywhere I could find around here either wanted experience or wanted people who could work until November (and with me going to school 4 hours away from here, that's not possible). Then about a week ago the administration at the place my dad works (it's a small company, so pretty much everyone knows each other) asked if I wanted to come in and run the warehouse because the guy that ran the warehouse was leaving for a new job and they knew I was looking for something over the summer. That's the only reason I have my job now.

So, listening to the band Fun for the first time. I'm two tracks in and I'm wondering where they've been all my life.

I've only heard a couple of their songs, but I liked what I heard. I just wish whatever radio station they have playing at my work wouldn't play We Are Young 10+ times a day (actually, whatever station it is seems to play 9 songs on a continuous loop with a random song separating each loop, so I'm hearing 9 songs each 10+ times per day). I like the song, but it gets annoying hearing it so often.
