There's a mens slow pitch softball game on ESPN2. The score is 32-30 in the 5th inning. Some guy just crushed a home run but it was the 3rd out in the inning.

I don't even...

I had to turn this on just to see what the hell it was all about.

That's the other thing! Are there prospects for slow pitch softball? And if so why are they 40 year old fat dudes? I still want to know why a home run counted as an out though. The guy absolutely crushed it, but cursed as he hit it and threw his bat down. So confused.

Also for those not watching the people playing are what you expect, since they all look like gym teachers. The "pitcher" (tosser?) is also wearing what looks like a lacrosse mask.

There is also 17 people in the stands. Also I guess this is where Pam Ward got dumped to since she's calling the game.

Maybe they are scoring based off sissy'ness. So if you hit the ball too hard it counts as an out?

This is incredible. Every part of it. "USA" down to their last three outs and they burn through two of them on illegal home runs.

I think it has to do with this. From Wiki:

In some leagues, the number of home runs that can be hit by a team are limited.

I'm guessing when you get to the pro level that in lieu of building parks that are, like, 600 feet to center they just implemented a home run cap instead.

This pitcher had a great strategy. Gave up back-to-back "home runs" for 2 outs.

Guy thrown out home to end the game! Futures win 38-37. What a heartbreak for Team USA. If he had slid into home to tie the game instead of getting thrown out standing up.

Yeah we could only hit 3 HRs in intramurals, never got close to that tho just mainly doubles/triples as they didn't have moved in fences or anything. Had one at the warning track.

One of the best physical feelings in sports is hitting an absolute bomb with a metal bat and a softball. It almost feels like nothing when you do it correctly.

Doesn't quite match the same with a wood bat and baseball, but the feeling is almost the same.

Absolutely impeccable German Suplex.

I can't let this go uncorrected: that was not a German suplex; a German suplex is an overhead throw from a reverse waistlock. Rather, it was a bridging leg hook belly-to-back suplex (this name from Wikipedia, my gut was to call it a reverse Fisherman suplex, possibly incorrectly).
