This is definitely the way to go though. You can really feel the improvements over 2 years. Buying every year just burns you out. That is, as long as you enjoy the version you currently own.

I try to do this as much as possible. With Madden it is harder because I love playing in our OS Vets online franchise, but I stuck with NBA 2K11 and MLB 11 The Show and still am enjoying those two games.

So many advantages of buying every other year. Save money, spend less time waiting around for patches/rosters/sliders, get further into your franchises, and when you do get a new game the upgrade seems far more substantial.

I've decided I'm sick of my crappy CD player in my car and am going to buy an FM transmitter. Generally hear bad things about them, but I've owned two in the past and they worked well. Not sure what ever happened to them, though... Hope I don't get burned. lol

I used to use an FM transmitter and had pretty good luck with it. When I got my Mazda3 I didn't have to use it anymore since it has bluetooth audio, which is nice.

Still playing Ncaa 11 and NBA 2k11. This may be the year to finally upgrade.

Congratulations!

I've got a few buddies who graduated this year, and I'm proud of them. Only regret I have is not doing well in HS to be there with them, but I'm doing alright with a loving fiancé and a decent situation overall. But I can't stress enough how much hard work an determination it takes to get that degree so that's a great accomplishment.

Good luck in the real world. Put that time and money to good use!

Ok... So here we go. ASB 04 was fun for it's time - it's 05 I hadn't played. I certainly couldn't have played 04 all the time I did if it wasn't. MVP 05 is still fun... Arcadey, but defense matters. I miss that. They captured the atmosphere of baseball better than any game I think. It really feels like you're there. madden 07 loses to Madden 12 which surprised me. I had more fun last gen , but can't go back.

NFL 2k5 is still effing fun and challenging - without feeling cheap. I can't win every game. I'd rather play an updated 2k5 than Madden 12. only real thing I noticed was the DB's snapping to interception animations. 7 years later and I feel 2k5 is still a better product than anything Madden has done. Wow - I even played a lot more Madden when they were both out ..

Did not expect to notice all this.

Honestly I'd still probably be playing 2K5 if the franchise mode played better than it did. Hell, if I could take just about everything from 2K5, then add in one of Madden's franchise modes ('04, '05, '07 or '12), I wouldn't even buy a Madden game until the next set of systems came out.

I have to say I am cautiously optimistic about Madden this year though. I enjoyed 12 for awhile but the passing wore on me like it has all of this gen. Now playing the NCAA demo and seeing that it's an EA game with a truly authentic passing game gets me excited for Madden. That was the one thing that always killed the gameplay for me, never being able to throw every route, not having different pass trajectories, and the psychic/superhuman defensive players.

Man, I never realized how good I had it, playing 2k5. I used to hook my ps2 up to the big tv in the den (55" projection).. thought I was Ballin. Projection TVs are almost a thing of the past now. My parents still have a 46" Sony Wega projection HD.. shows in 1080 too.

Ahem, Anyways tomorrow i'm on the hunt for some foods that I want to try out. Nothing too fancy as its basically frozen stuff but they looked interesting enough for me and i'm the pickiest eater on the face of the planet so any progress is good

So I went to CVS pharmacy to fill a prescription (and also buy some toothpaste) but when I went to pay my ATM card wouldn't work. I tried both debit and credit and the person even tried swiping it on her card swiper behind the counter all to no avail. I ended up having to pay cash (which I barely had enough) then when to an ATM to try my card their. No luck, the transaction couldn't be completed. So I went to the local PNC bank branch and find out that apparently my card had been deactivated because the bank had picked up some suspicious activity or something. I don't know when this happened. I'd last usecd my card on Friday (twice) with no issues and saw no suspicous activity when viewing my statement online last night nor did I receive any emails or phone calls inquiring about possible suspicious activity or letting me know that my card was being deactivated. Well, to make a long story short, they're going to send me a new card which I should have in about a week.
