Got another job prospect. Sounds like it could be a done deal. So it leaves me in a bind. I'd rather work at the animal hospital with my brother, but it's not an assured position just yet. The other job (at a department store, kinda like BB&B), where I'll be making 10-12$/hour (right in my range
) seems like more of a slam dunk as I know someone on the inside with inside information that they'll be needing someone to fill a vital position by the end of today.
Spent last night and this morning (which is why I'm up earlier then I had to be for work) contemplating it. They're good problems to have, so I can't complain. I just need out of this ****pit I'm in currently.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

I don't know how but today I've lost my student bus card. I used it in the morning but then when I was going to put it in my wallet I couldn't find it. I checked in my pockets, backpack, jacket, on my seat and on the flour but it was in vain. When I went later to get a new card the person said that I couldn't get one because I wasn't registered as a student on the database, now I need to get to my college and fill paperwork so they cand send it to the city council so it goes to a long process to allow me again to get my card. I got pissed because I still don't know how it could disappear like that and ruined my morning. Now I'll go to the gym and see if I can take my anger away at least for a while.Comment

You can see my girlfriend in the most recent picture in the Most Wanted thread. She looks pretty American, but her family just moved here from Australia about 10 years ago, so they all have Australian accents (except my girlfriend and her sister sound American when they aren't talking to their parents).
Edit: Before she left for Africa, she said that her dad was keeping an eye on the situation in Egypt and if it wasn't safe, she thinks they'd just not go to Egypt, but it's been one of her dreams and is supposed to be a birthday present for her, so I feel like they'll go anyway.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 07-09-2012, 01:27 PM.NFL: Bills

Grilled chicken yesterday for the family. They came over for dinner at my place which is the first time everybody's been over at the same time. Not too cramped in the apartment, but I was glad when everybody left, lol. I pretty much spent all of yesterday just cleaning and cooking. I don't think my TV realized what the hell was going on as my family took over my TV and watched House Hunters for a couple hours.
For the chicken I did two batches. First batch I used a grilled "taco spiced" chicken recipe. There is a seasoning part and then a sauce part. The seasoning is basically a packet of El Paso taco seasoning and oregano. Brushed olive oil on the chicken and sprinkled/rubbed the seasoning on. The recipe says to serve the sauce over the chicken after grilling, but I brushed the sauce (BBQ sauce, chili sauce, ground cumin) onto the chicken while it was grilling. It came out damn good. The second batch I just used a simple BBQ sauce recipe that my dad has always used. Both batches turned out well.
Saturday I roasted some frozen corn and throw together a salsa and served that with a tex-mex rub grilled chicken (chili powder, ground cumin, salt, garlic powder). This was delicious.
