Shrimp. Crabs. Lobster. Flounder. Tuna. Mahi Mahi. Damn man, that's half of the reason why I go to the beach every year.

Shrimp & calamari are the only seafood I eat. Which is a shame considering the part of the country I live in. I just never developed a taste for it.

Well I will say tuna without peas.......I don't know what it is with Vermonters but they like peas in their tuna.

People around her put peas in their pasta. It's an Italian thing.

Putting peas in pasta wasn't the Italians' idea. Gross.

Lobster, Cod/Haddock, salmon, swordfish and fried shrimp is pretty much all I eat for seafood.

I'll only get lobster, fish and chips or Hibachi cooked salmon at restaurants, though. Not really a fan of non-home cooked seafood.

Oh. I just assumed it was because the only people I've seen do it are my Italian friends.

Hm, well I don't know. The Italians that I grew up around, including my own family certainly didn't do it. Maybe it's a Northeast thing.

I went out on a date with a chick not too long ago to a Cajun place and she ordered us some fried mushrooms. I took one bite and knew something was up, because it tasted awful and she told me it had crab in it.. I almost puked.
                    Wait, what? . . .

How is tuna not fish-like when tuna is a fish?

Define "nasty". And how is chicken nastier than seafood? Raw shrimp looks disgusting, but cooked shrimp is awesome.

Am I excited she asks. I tell her I'm fixing corn pops for dinner. Laughing and says she doesn't care.

I wonder what the **** would happen if I actually gave her a bowl of corn pops.

I eat all foods of the sea.

Crabs, shrimp, clams, lobster, fish (salmon mostly, but I like tuna, swordfish, flounder, halibut). I tried mussels recently and I'll dabble in calamari.

I LOVE smoked salmon. Soooo good. I treat myself to it when I can.

Well last night deteriorated to the point that I was a wreck and went to bed early. Luckily it was just a bug and i'm a lot better now. I just finished talking to my GF before she goes to work as she's very anxious about it and like the dutiful BF I gave her some soothing words

As for sea food? No thanks.....

                              Re: Peas in Pasta
Peas have been in Italian pasta dishes for a long time. You could say Italians started it but Mediterraneans actually introduced peas to their cuisine many moons ago. I don't actually know how long ago. I just know the origin of peas are Mediterranean. In most italian restaurants, in the states anyway, peas are typically eaten with ham/prosciutto/bacon in cream sauce with either Farfalle or Fusilli.

Tuna doesn't taste like your average fish. There's a reason people call it the "Chicken of the Sea".

Have you ever been around chicken houses and the transportation process ? Chickens aren't exactly the cleanest animals when you get a bunch of them together. My grandparents used to own chicken houses, before moving 10 years ago. Seeing it up close makes your realize how nasty chickens can be. They do taste delicious..

They loved the money involved with the business, but got tired of the work and the hassle.
