you'd think one of his friends would tell him the truth about how ridiculous his arms looked. They dont even look like muscle. Its one thing to only work out your biceps and triceps. Its another to just pump em full of air. How could his people let him get like that?

*Disclaimer - this isn't that interesting of a post, and it's kinda lengthy, so feel free to skip ahead*

I feel like I'm living out my own mini version of (500) Days of Summer right now.

There's been this new girl at work. She just started a little over a month ago or so. When I first seen her I was already intrigued because she was pretty cute, but I just kept it cool and did my thing until about two weeks into her working there I helped her and another guy who I was already pretty good friends with out. I was talking to him at first and out of the corner of my eye I could see she was looking at me in that way a girl looks at you when they're sizing you up and seem interested. Of course inevitably with me helping out, that broke the ice and we started talking, which the more I talked to her, the more I was getting a good vibe that she was interested in me. When it comes to girls I seem to be pretty decent at being on point with jokes and making them laugh, so that helped my cause as well.

Anyways, over the next few weeks I was routinely getting signals from her. Like for example, there was one night just before everyone got to work that I was sitting in the back and she comes up to me and says something about a girl wanting to meet me. I'm not sure what to think and she ends up showing me a picture of herself on her phone. Not only that but she then said she gets bored and lonely at home at night when she's off (this was the ultimate blaring firetruck signal). I say "Oh, really? Me too." to kinda show interest back (assuming that was really her intention and it wasn't just a joke or something) but not jump the gun per se. I say that because the problem is, some times even Tom Brady can read a defense incorrectly and I was/still am trying to pick my spots carefully and not be too aggressive or whatever, in case I'm wrong on this whole thing. But I eventually just decided to go with my gut and figured **** it, she seems interested so I'm rolling with it, which is really the best mindset to have in that situation anyways, IMO.

So as the days and weeks go by, things are going pretty well. I feel I'm making progress, even if it's not as quick as I'd like. And then one night she drops the baby bomb.....

I don't say that as a bad thing because I don't like kids - I do. But obviously with a kid that means there's a baby daddy and that whole mess, so I figure "****, so much for that." I still kept my demeanor towards her the same (being playful, joking, showing interest, etc) even though in the back of my head I'm thinking there's not much of a point to keep looking at her in that light or keep pursuing her.

But....

It was as if some kind of penis-guiding Lee Corso came down from above to help a not-quite-a-brother out. This morning, I end up going home with her after work and find out no baby daddy (apparently ended things a while ago and he doesn't live in the country), she lives basically right down the street from me, and she gave me one of those byes that girls give when they want the D.

The pursuit is back on!

I like how girls find excuses to show/send you pictures. The girl that came over Tuesday texted me last night and asked me how my evening was. Yadda yadda yadda apparently she got her hair did so I fell into the trap and asked her how it was. Bam picture. Of course I was fishing for a "come over here and show me in person" but whatever.

I'm always leery of Facebook. That's a mountain of information all at once. I usually don't friend girls I'm chilling with because it makes it harder to sever ties later.
