I'm surprised he didn't, especially since it was a physical confrontation. Every school I was in growing up had a Zero Tolerance Policy with regards to fighting. For that reason, my dad always told me to make sure I got my licks in if someone ever started a fight with me, because I was going to be suspended either way.

Funny that Cabke brought up moving out. My fiancé, myself, and her brother all got thrown out of her parents house on Monday while we were all at work. Over some ridiculous, irrational ****. We all paid rent, and her parents are in tough times so they (well really just her Mom) really screwed herself with this stunt. She's done it before, but this is the first time it occurred while I was staying there the past 6 months. Welp, I don't play those games.

My dad has been amazing. He saw through the games her Mom was playing and took us in. We got our money together and checked out apartments. Worked our connections and got a pretty nice place lined up for $875 a month, split between the 3 of us.

It was time anyway. Her Mom said some extremely troubling and untrue things about me that, while I don't like holding grudges, I'm not gonna just let it slide either. She's one of those people that is too proud (well, really delusional) to admit when she's wrong -- she actually expects me to apologize for... I'm not even sure what it is I did! I'm open to being civil, but I doubt she will. It's okay, though. I'm not the one filled with hate and am not losing sleep over it. She's the one losing a great daughter and son and future son-in-law.

It's been a whirlwind week! Exciting times, though as far as finally getting out own spot.

You should have gave her mom the D and she wouldn't have kicked you all out. That is what she wanted. Her daughter was getting the D and she wasn't.

Apparently, as told by a handful of 4th grade kids, 1 boy was picking on my son's best friend in the lunch line. My son told him to stop being a bully. The boy confronted my son at which time my son decides to go for the gut. Doubled the kid over.
Surprisingly, my son didn't get in trouble. But during the conversation with the principal she told us to be mindful of our sons behavior. I told her we will be sure to do that. I'll tell him good job on going to the gut of that bully and not the nose. Face shots can hurt your hand.
Something similar to this happen to me when I was in the forth grade, but it didn't quite turn out so well for me. There was this real nerdy kid in class who everyone always picked on. One day during lunch these two bullies (both of whom had failed grades so they were bigger than the rest of us) they were going at him pretty hard, so for some reason I decided to take it upon myself to take up for him. I started in on the bullies, calling their dads names and whatnot which deflected their attention on to me. We went back and fourth for a few minutes and from what a remember I got quite a few zingers in there which was met by many laughs by all the kids around us. I felt like I proud standing up to those guys. However, the moment was short lived...

Once lunch ended we had P.E. which was across the street from the lunchroom. We always had to wait in line on the sidewalk for the P.E. teacher to guide us across the street to the play ground. While we were waiting one of the bullies grabbed me from behind and the other one started nailing me in the gut. I remember looking around and hoping that maybe one of my friends or even the nerd boy that I took up for would at least try to divert their attention, but nope.. Everyone just stood there watching. Eventually I got pushed to the ground and luckily the teacher got there before any more damage was done.

Unfortunately the pain was only half over for me because I got three "licks" for fighting. Moral of the story is mind our own business.
