Areobee Snow reference didn't get enough likes damn it. Might not have been big in the USA and Canada, but on the islands in the Carib he was considered a legend.

It's a movie from the 90s. He's got about 40 years left to go back into SPTO territory.

I remember watching it on AMC and they had like, pop up facts on the bottom of the movie. Pretty interesting stuff

Yep, when it comes to movies I watch mostly the Classic Hollywood era but as we've seen in the movie thread I do watch some modern ones like Ted.

I feel like people tend to forget Tom Hanks is a pretty good comedy actor. As "Big" as his dramatic roles and movies are his comedy roles are my favorites.

It's a bit of a shame though his last couple attempts at comedic films have failed and I think it's because he's more thought of as a dramatic actor. I think some of that is attributable to the fact that when he was making his run with dramatic movies he didn't really alternate between genres like some other actors have done.

Yeah, I think most of his comedic stuff aside from The Ladykillers has been regulated to TV appearances.

The Burbs is another good Tom Hanks comedy.

I'm starting to get into the band Crystal Castles lately. They're an electric alternative band from Canada (thanks BNG & STPO).

Trying to broaden my musical tastes a bit. I honestly have no clue what's popular or good outside of Hip Hop and R&B.

I always loved catching those on TBS or TNT on Saturday afternoons as a kid.

Areobee: What kind of music do you like outside of rap and r&b?

Black Keys are typically a safe bet around here, but I think I've seen you post about them before.

My Goodness is a new band that rocks the duo, but they're not quite as bluesy as Black Keys. A bit more rocking.

                          Are you on Spotify?

Very familiar The Black Keys stuff. Saw them live this year at Coachella. Put on one hell of a show.

My taste outside of hop hop/R&B is just about anything. If it sounds good to me, I'll listen to it. I'm just so out of touch with other genres. My girl has been able to get me into a few bands. But not much else has caught my attention.

                            No, not on Spotify.

Fresh, if you got any stuff from Black Keys, PM some of it if you don't mind.

I've heard you and few other posters speak about them in the past and wanted to check out some of their stuff but never got around to it.

Well, you can always venture into the rock thread. I think there is an indie/underground/under the radar type thread somewhere. Country thread is kind of dead. Soul/R&B you're in, but I seem to be the only one repping the classic type stuff.

Download spotify. It is free to stream and the ads really aren't that bad unless you're listening to more mainstream stuff. It also lets you send music to people and create and share playlists.

Pack, I'll send you one of their albums tonight.
