Once the dust settles, and you're alive and well, the fun begins. I apparently have a medical bill still on my record from when I was t-boned by a drunk in late 2009. They kept pestering me to pay it, I told them I was covered under my fiancé's auto insurance and they wouldn't see a dime from me. I wasn't even gonna get checked out because I didn't have health insurance at the time but was persuaded to because her auto insurance covered me. Ugh.

Just make sure everything is in order and taken care of. It's a damn hassle, but it's better than having collector's on you for months over something that wasn't your fault b
