Another random question: I just started using PayPal, and I just transferred some money from my PayPal account back to my bank. It's been a couple days now and on PayPal.com, it says the transfer is now "Complete". But it still hasn't shown up in my bank account (which I checked, and the account # is correct). Is this normal? PayPal says it usually takes 3-4 business days for it to go through, and it's only been 2 so far, but since it said "Complete", I took that to mean that it is now in my bank account.

I had a situation the opposite of yours in that I was transferring money TO my paypal account though after it said it was complete it took nearly a week to actually process.

Anyone ever had a hernia? I'm in the hospital right now, just got out of surgery for an "incarcerated umbilical hernia."

This pretty much sucks. Doctor said I should take it easy for 4-5 weeks and not work. Ha.. Yeah because everyone can just afford to sit at home for over a month!

Same here... admittedly, it gets on my nerves a bit.

In other news, today I was playing my MyCareer on 2K13 (as a PG for the Sixers) and I went into full paranoid GF mode... D-Rose absolutely tore me apart, going off for 33 on me. I hated him for all of 5 minutes, and then realized that it's not real life... so I suppose there's hope for me yet.

It's normal, I work for a bank and field this question regularly.

When you make a transfer like this it is done as an ACH and goes through several institutions.

Long story short, if Paypal's bank initiates the transfer on Monday, their bank may wait to send it out until Tuesday. If they send it out on Tuesday, your bank doesn't receive it until Wednesday. When they receive it on Wednesday, it won't be made available to you until Thursday.

It shouldn't take more than four days from the time you receive the email saying it's been completed and in most cases should only take three.

Yeah if you go into retail working weekends is almost a given. If you can't do Saturdays, or Sundays a lot of places won't even hire you.

I've never had hernia, though my grandfather had an umbilical hernia before I was born I think. Had a nice scar on his stomach from the surgery.
