If 'down there' is referring to my signature (which I'm positive it is), the Trail Blazers have been there for a couple months, since at least the 2nd or 3rd game of the season (https://twitter.com/triplecrown9/sta...31788324605952). But honestly, they're just a place holder until the Sonics come back. And I only picked them because they're the only franchise in the Pacific Northwest for the time being.

And Ohio State is off and on, but they've been present for about a month now. So I guess you just haven't been paying attention to me. Which is fine, but you miss some gems every now and then.

I figured Portland was a temporary replacement for the lousy Celtics. Still can't believe they are in the playoffs right now. Eastern conference should be abolished this year.

Nope, they aren't a replacement. I still watch the C's whenever they're on TV. I'm not very sure how you would abolish an entire half of a league.

Went to the Seattle Thunderbirds/Kamloops Blazers game last night. Both in the WHL:



There was a huge brawl after the second period buzzer sounded because a frustrated T-Birds player checked a Blazer into the boards after the period ended. When the other players were coming down the ice, a Kamloops player sent a Seattle player into the boards at near full speed then all hell broke loose.





Swenson over in the corner of the first pick ended up with a 10 minute misconduct for what he did during the brawl. The second picture was some of the equipment left in the corner afterwards. There was a little blood on the ice too.



And going by the final score you'd never think that Kamloops is actually the third worst team in the WHL and they have 25 less points in the standings than Seattle who is only the 5th seed still in the conference.

Went to the Music City Bowl with my dad, since he's a Tech alum. It was freaking cold.

Headed to see the Norfolk Admirals hockey game tonight.

Ice will be painted pink tonight. Should be pretty cool to see.

Caught my alma mater last Friday. They were playing in the statewide game of the week. Lot of attention, lot of hype, all the good stuff. Unfortunately, they ended up on the wrong side of this:

Went to another Seattle Thunderbirds game last Saturday. They lost again (in a shootout this time) and are now 1-3-2 when I attend. The only game they won was a playoff game where they took a 3-0 lead in the series only to lose 4 straight:





This guy actually was the goalie for the other team (Kamloops Blazers) back on Dec. 31 when I saw the two teams play. Kamloops won 7-1 and Seattle traded for him


Perfect shootout form.



Worst thing about the game is they gave up the equivalent of an own goal in soccer and passed it to an opposing player in front of the net to give up the only two goals Kamloops scored during the game in the first period.
