Free tickets to the Australian NRL Grand Final last night which was decided in extra time!



I got the free tickets from a stadium member friend of mine who was away since the lucky bastard was over in London for the NFL watching his favourite team NY Jets beat down on my Miami Dolphins.

A few weeks ago, I achieved my dream of going to a Nebraska game, thanks to my girlfriend who got me tickets as a birthday present(best present ever). I have been to many different football games and other sporting events, but nothing came close to what I experienced that day. The environment was beyond description. It was the best thing I have ever been apart of..even though they lost to Northwestern, it was a good game.
I'll definitely be going back next year, probably going to try for the Oregon game.

I went to the Celtics-Hawks game with my buddy from CT. I was greatly disappointed to hear that they have a rule in the Garden that you must be 25 years old or older if you're out of state in order to purchase beer. I think that's a strange rule. We tried asking people around our section if they could get us beers, but they all seemed terrified to be kicked out of the arena, so I guess it's a rule that's strictly enforced. That was the only bad thing I had to say about the Garden though.

Fresno Grizzlies @ Iowa Cubs double header August 25th
Truck series, Xfinity, and Sprint Cup races at Chicagoland September 19th-20th
ALCS Game 2, Blue Jays @ Royals October 17th

And I will be going to Mississippi State @ Arkansas this weekend. Throw in some horse races I went to at Prairie Meadows a few times this year. Most I've done in a long time.

I can see both sides of this. I get the Garden doing it because if you go to a "strict" liquor store in MA you will obviously get carded and if you have an out of state ID they will have to call over a manager or supervisor to come and check their ID. I know this is how it works at Wegmans supermarkets because my mom works there. But for the customer it sucks because you are clearly old enough to be drinking legally and you are getting screwed. Also on the people in your section they don't know you, for all they know you are 17/18 and they are buying booze for an underage kid. And then you are driving back to CT, over where you were going, and you get into a fatal accident and then that person that bought you the beer is responsible for what happened in that accident. (Obviously a semi extreme example but it was the first that came to mind.)

And mine was my school's men soccer game in the NCAA tournament. Most recent pro event was Celtics Heat game late last season.

Well late last month I attended my last game in Death Valley as a student, and boy was it a fun and special one.



And tonight I fufilled one of my lifelong dreams of watching a US National Team play. And it was in Louisiana! This is from pregame, but 32,000 packed into the lower plaza, which is more than a sellout at all but one MLS park. Oh, and it was Abby Wambach's last game. Crazy fun, even though we lost off a deflection
