I was awarded temporary physical custody today though at court...hope they keep it that way...have court on the 28th again

Thanks man....I also got a new apartment in Sunday. I hoping to be moved this weekend, ad I'm nit taking much with me. Smaller then what I'm in now but still nice.

Thats good stuff man. You sound like a stand up guy everything will get better for you. I went through something similiar with a girl I had been with for 5 years and had a child with. Believe me the worst part is coming to end and in the long run you will laugh at what you are going through now when you meet your soulmate (I did). If she put you through all of that and you stood by her she doesn't deserve you man. FYI don't fall into the trap she will set you when she regrets what she has done and wants you back in the future..trust me it's not worth it..Hope everything continues to get better for you bro..Go Giants!!

That's a great step to take. Just keep focusing on you and your son and only that. Everything will happen how it should and probably over some time. For your sake, you have to find some positive, albeit a small one, or learn from it in order to successfully get through a traumatic event. I received a great piece of advice after a break up with a long time girlfriend, who had cheated on me. I was told, "Always remember how you felt when she cheated on you." I kept that in the back of mind; we never got back together and I moved on. It made me so angry, I was motivated to move on and live a better life without her. Hopefully this helps... best of luck bro.

Hey FF. If you got temporary custody, that usually turns into permanent. Courts dont like changing kids routines. Good luck. Time like this are when you have to "man up". I dont mean that in a bad way. But think positive and be strong. Everything else will take care of itself.

Look at the upside bro. The majority of us on here have gone through the same thing your going through. Most of us took it just as hard as you are and pretty much all of us (from reading past threads) ended up coming out of it all smelling like a rose. *somebody needs to post a link with longshadow (aka Gary's) story in this thread.

I'm not going to lie, I actually envy you a little bit. I know that your kid should be your number one priority (as they should be), but looking past that, when you are ready to start dating, then you have a whole world of possibilities in front of you. From what I hear chicks these days have looser morals than ever. Go out and enjoy that and make an adventure out of it. Then, with time I'm sure the "right one" will come along and you'll be happier than ever.

thank guys, heel, I hope the custody turns permanent...I'm starting to hate her so much each passing minute. That's what's making it a little easier, still hurts though.


She now reveals she getting her own car now, she crashed mine a year and half ago and just beat the car I have now down..just pisses me off.

I was just really nervous living alone, I had my daughters mother for 6 years and got involved this one for the last 6...living alone is going to be so new to me, I have a lot if friends who live alone and they say they love it....starting over at 33 seems just a little odd. Idk

I know it's hard for some people to be alone. I can't personally understand it, because I enjoy being alone for the most part, and sticking with one girl just seems ludicrous to me.

However, I'm also weird in that aspect lol. I have a friend who turns into an alcoholic and reckless person, which then follows too depression anytime he and his gf break up. Of course, you have a kid and he doesn't, and that changes everything. It sounds like a rough situation, and it happens way too often unfortunately. being single can be alot of fun, but I know alot of people can't stand being alone. I wish you the best though.
