Were you able to sell the first one and make this a new one, or did you just add on to the first one? Looks great though!

Just added on. Going to add those exact rails on top and we have some 8 inch chip holders we are gonna attack and then wrap the wrest in carpet padding and the blue material. Then try and sell it.Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
This ended up being the final product. Materials to build it plus all the things you need to play cost around $170. Threw it up for sale to see if I got any hits and ended up selling it for $450. Not bad for a couple days worth of work on a weekend.

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
Yeah, I am seriously impressed. I do some building stuff (made heavy duty garage shelves from 2x4s and plywood), but the quality of that workmanship is amazing.
Nicely done! It's not as easy as you make it look!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
We impressed ourselves. It wasn't as hard as what we thought it would be. A circular saw, drill, and staple gun are the only tools we used. It would have taken someone who knew what they were doing half the time. Getting everything measured right and cutting the carpet padding in a perfect square was the only hard part (which we didn't cut it perfectly straight). The stain and the gloss are what make it look good. It was a tank and took two men to carry it because you had to tilt it on it's side because of the railing. If anyone ever makes their own look into using 1x12s not 2x12s.
I am thinking about making another. I really wish it would have sold faster and I would have considered making maybe one a month and selling them.Comment

That's what my dad does when he has to build a bunch of shelves or something at their place.
Might be tough to always sell fast unless you find a good market somewhere. Maybe fraternities at colleges or something?Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
I don't know if I'd go overboard with making them either, though. I'm not sure if a craps table is something that has a high demand on Craigslist really, at least not enough demand to be able to sell several that you've made in a short period of time.Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
It's definitely not. I had it posted everywhere it needed to be for people to see it. Including a college town. I figure anyone who wants want bad enough will build their own. You'd be surprised how many people don't even know the object of blackjack. Forget a large population that knows craps haha.Comment

Maybe you could do poker tables similar? Or is that fad a bit fading now?Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I checked on Amazon and poker tables are pretty easy to find and reasonably priced.Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
Those are massed produced. You would have to get into some serious craftsmanship and make something that stands out. I hope to make another craps table for myself again. Gotta figure out how to cut the weight by half or make it collapsible.Comment

Re: Anyone ever built a craps table?
Cutting the weight by half would be hard unless there are enough places you can drill plugs in the wood as decoration or if it is out of sight. Also cutting your piece sizes down by half like you mentioned earlier would help.Comment

That's what they tell companies to do on Shark Tank lol. Lowest cost per product possible.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
