Dude, don't waste money at Tiffanies, spend the money you would have on the "Tiffanies" box and get her a bigger Ring.

Otherwise we might see a "My GF dumped me when I asked her to marry me" Thread, and those are depressing.

Diamonds are so overpriced and kind of worthless really. Does a woman really need a physical representation of your love expressed monetarily with a dollar sign and a common gemstone?

Diamonds themselves didn't become popular until the De Beers began selling them at a high price in the mid 20th century. They've created an artificial market and created a value for something that really doesn't have much of one.


Anyways, /rant and congrats on the engagement! I hope everything works out well and that your love means more to you two than a physical interpretation ever could.
