Re: Keep us in your thoughts

Thanks everyone. No one would even know he was sick at one point unles we told you. He is doing great.

Being in the hispital for 38 days slowed down his development. He was almost walking before and it's been a long road since we have gotten home, but he started taking steps yesterday.Comment

Re: Keep us in your thoughts

I haven't updated in a while. Since my last update Branson has had two MRI's (3 months apart) and both have shown signifigant shrinkage in the tumor. He no longer has his feeding tube. The tube the last few months was more because he wasn't eating a lot by mouth, not because he couldn't. So we did a test run for a month without him using his feeding tube at all. We went and got weight checks every week and he gained weight every week, add that to the fact that he kept getting infections around the feeding tube sight, all three of his doctors thought it was best that they pulled the tube.

He is still on his medication to shrink the tumor, and while he is on the medication he can not have any shots, so not only does the medication weaken his immune system, he is way behind on shots, so hopefully he doesn't get too sick this winter.

Branson is just your regular little 18 month old terror. We are having a small "half birthday" on the 27th, because he was so sick during his first birthday. Nothing big, but more of a birthday/celebration for him getting over all of this.

Thanks again for all the thoughts.Attached FilesComment

Re: Keep us in your thoughts

Branson had his latest MRI results come back and the results were... No measurable or noticeable mass. He will probably stay on his medication for a full year - so through the end of March - and then he be as good as ever.

Thanks again to everyone for their thoughts.Comment

Re: Keep us in your thoughts

It's been a while since I have posted in here. My little guy is great. The only side affect from it all is his size. He is very small (not quite 30 pounds) and will be five in 3 months. He has just started taking some medication to help with his pancreatic enzymes. The GI doctor believes part of his growth issue is not absorbing fats from the foods he eats. It doesn't help that is he very active and his mother and father aren't very tall people either. I am not really concerned about it. He is healthy, extremely smart and a great kid.
