That feeling you get when you pick a new game up at midnight and play it all night.
Kentucky basketball
A good thunderstorm while you sleep
The feeling you get when you make someone happy with an act of kindness.
Having a fat wallet
hitting the creek on a hot summer day
Rain
College football starting
Halloween night when the air is crisp and fall is here, and just the feeling you get on that night.

Praying with my wife
Feeding the kids early and "splurging" on a dinner for my wife and me
Watching my boys wrestle and laugh
Making pizza in our brick oven
Sitting on the front porch during spring time
Laughing about the crazy things my kids come up with

Being 6'5. Somehow finding the love that I have for the sport of basketball

Also the forgiveness and the grace that God has. Allowing me to wake up each and every day.

Receiving a compliment after you feel like trash.

When you go to families house and they treat you like your own kid.

After working out for a month or two, you hear compliments on your looks when you thought you never changed.

Coming down the court and your teammates spread out because they know you can ball.

Reaching a milestone on OS (like 1000) posts

When you're walking somewhere and a girl passes you and she whispers to her friend "he's cute! '

Getting a A on a exam that you studied your butt off for.

After working hard in the gym for a month or two, he see the progress and and you're bodying people you never could body before.

Throwing bread crumbs on the ground and watching beautiful birds come flying down.

Thank God for family.


So many things to be thankful for. It's so easy to focus on the negatives, and forget about all the positives in your life.

Do you really care where I sent this from?

On the same note, getting paid your first 'real' check.

While in college making about 200-300 and sometimes more a week. And then, getting at check that is more than 3 digits to the left of the period.

1. Looking out at all the acres of land I own and think wow, I came a longgggggggggggggg way from the kid who grew up in a 1 bedroom apartment in a very crappy neighborhood in Chicago.

2. Being able to park my car in my drive way, with the keys in it, all doors wide open all day and all night and nobody touches it.

3. Standing in the drive way at 2am looking at the stars. Growing up in a major city, I never did really get to see the stars at night, it was too many city lights. But living in a very small town with no lights, I get to see all the stars and planets.

4. Eating skittles......I am eating some right now actually.

5. Playing video games..

6. Gaming head sets, don't care if you like Astros, Trittons, Turtlebeaches or what, gaming head sets are the bees knees.

My Mom. My Grandmother. My Aunts. My father bailed out on me as a kid, and these beautiful, wonderful women were there for me. God bless them.
