Thanks for the help guys. Ended up going to a couple different Men's Wearhouses and picked out two sport coats. Ended up coming out to like $270 after they added the tax. Got a nice solid navy sport coat and a checked gray one that I think might be this one:

    Pretty pumped.

Pretty good looking sportscoat. The last one I bought was early Spring from Banana Republic. It's a navy military style. Here are a couple of watches I've bought in the last year:

Except my hands are all black. It's a more casual watch where as the first one is a little more dressy.

Posted in the purchases thread, but thought I'd share here too..

Just bought my first "nicer" pair of sunglasses, now that I'm wearing contacts...

I'm looking for a casual sneaker that I could wear with jeans or shorts. Not really a big fan of the canvas shoes that are in style and I can't go barefoot in shoes for very long so boat shoes are out. Was looking for something like this but can't find it in that color combo anymore:

          Any suggestions?

So for those of you that wear button downs and dressy shirts like that with jeans when you go out, what shoes do you wear?

I'm talking about shirts like this. I want to pick up a few of these like that, but some of the places I go out to probably wouldn't let someone with high top Supras in.

I'm thinking about picking up some Stacy Adams pointy toe loafers and these from Express:

Also, does anyone on here have or know where to get black diamond watches?

There's two on Macy's I'm thinking about getting.

Stacy Adams (esp. their classic collection) is always a great choice...

As are chelsea boots...I like the ones in the link, but I personally go for the black suede option...

You can't go wrong with a Clark Dessert Boot...

Classy / Classic / Casual / in a wide array of (suede) color choices...

Just make sure you get a nice waterproofing spray to treat them with...they hold up better / longer as a result...

I can't find the thread, but I remember someone was asking about tiebars and I mentioned you could buy them at thetiebar.com and I was probably going to put in an order soon.

My order arrived in the mail today.

                  I purchased:

                  - A Tie Bar
                  - 3 Skinny Ties
                  - 2 Slim Bow Ties
                  - 1 White Pocket Square

                  <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42257537@N08/7688246490/" title="020 by BlueJaysToronto, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7111/7688246490_0122e64fab_n.jpg" width="320" height="240" alt="020"></a>

                  <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42257537@N08/7688245602/" title="019 by BlueJaysToronto, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8015/7688245602_5863fa62cb_n.jpg" width="320" height="240" alt="019"></a>

I quickly slapped on the tie and I didn't bother to adjust it. The dress shirt is also new. It's a Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit. The shirt is really slim but when I raised my arm to take the picture it makes it look bigger than it really is.

While I will wear the ties at my Office, I'm not sure if I will wear the Bow Ties since I would look out of place. I probably can't report on the quality of the bow ties until I see how they hold up after wearing them a couple of times. It's not often I'm going to be wearing a Bow Tie, so I won't be reporting on the quality of it for awhile.

I recently picked up another Brooks Brothers suit. I was able to get it for a little under $1000. It's worth every penny.

What's the length of the tie bar you got? I've been looking for those for quite some time now but could never find one locally. Also, did you get it under the Tie Bar (side clasp) category?

Depends how they're cut, but ultimately I would say its up to you and what you think looks good.

Dress shirts are MEANT to be tucked in. Why? They usually run long and cover your butt.

If they're short in length (just barely past your waist), I usually wear them un-tucked but it depends on my whole outfit.

The Tie Bar is 1 inch.

This is what I ordered (not Side Clasp)

Ugh I think I've been going a little overboard on trying to match my shirts with my shoes lately, dunno how I just started thinking like this. For instance I find it wierd if say my outfit's a light blue v-neck shirt with some beigeish cargo shorts and I wear some White Air force ones why does that just seem like it look weird to me. I mean I see people who don't match there attire as much as me, is it that wierd?. (I rarely wear dress shoes unless like I'm going clubbing in Boston or something)
