For many of you who are active on Twitter, this may be old news. However, being that I am like the only individual in his mid 20s (or at all for that matter) without a Twitter or Facebook account, I just heard about this an hour ago.

For those of you that don't have time to read the link I will attempt to make a semi-long story short:

Basically some model I have never heard (Melissa Stetten) was sitting on a plane next to actor Brian Presley. According to her, Mr. Presley spent the majority of the flight taking his wedding ring off, drinking alcohol, claiming that his most recent relationship did not work and more or less spitting game trying to get up in there. This information was provided throughout the flight via numerous consecutive tweets from this model. It is important to note that Presley is a married man with children that recently announced that he was sober after having issues with alcoholism. Her final tweet simply said "Did I just ruin Brain Presley's life via twitter".

Without really disclosing exactly how I feel (at least for now), I'm just curious to hear the thoughts of my fellow OSers on this one. Assuming that her tweets are true, did Presley get what he deserved? Did she take it too far? Just wanna know what you guys think.

Me personally, I feel like there should be more unwritten rules. For a model to be sitting next to an actor, and tweeting that hes picking her up makes me feel like she was trying to get attention for this. More-so, there is malicious intent as she asks "did she just ruin this guys life via twitter..." As if ruining this guys life is almost something to laugh about, showing no remorse.

If she had indicated that this guy became inappropriate, IE- groping her, or making offensive remarks, and she continued to try and fend him off, then has a reason to "hold a grudge" and say screw it, this yahoo doesn't deserve respect, and im going to put his butt out there and let him deal with his consequences.

Its like public figures, in a private situation, should have some understanding that they are already under the microscope enough to go after one another via twitter on a flight. Almost like a cop tweeting about another cop doing something at work. Theres a time and a place for that, and this situation was not a good example on how to use twitter. It was a great example of how people will do anything to get attention, and exploiting twitter in this fashion shows that those people looking for that attention have a much easier way of getting it than doing something important.

Recently, it's been predicted that Facebook has about 8 years left before it runs it's course...

Interesting that it's going to take that long to go from:

To:

"STOP LOOKING AT ME"

If the tweets were coming from Stetten I'd take them with a grain of salt.

Some parts of the story may be fabricated, or more trumped up than what actually happened due to possible diva-ness.

However if the actor really was taking off his wedding ring, and really coming onto her hard then that is just shameful for a married man. It is my belief that Once you make that commitment to marriage, you must honor and uphold your faithfulness to your spouse.

I can see taking a peak every now and then, hey it's hard to resist for some guys.. but that's where it needs to stop. You just can't act on it, that violates the trust you share with your partner... and you would expect the same from your wife if she was in the same situation.

That's why the divorce rates are so sky rocket high these days, marriage just doesn't mean the same thing to people like it used to. (GMSS mode)

To a certain extent I agree with you. But my personal feelings, and not condoning it, but divorce is much more accepted now than its been in the past, dudes have been this way since the beginning of time. Some of us have more control and dedication than others, but the truth remains that boys will be boys and twitter/society these days is different than it was in the 50's,60's and the stone ages.

I think she's just an attention whore looking to get her name out there, to be honest... Otherwise why be so cruel? So what, you're a model. I'm sure you get hit on all the time, but do you make such a big deal out of it every single time... doubt it.

I love that I took a red eye flight to NY, had a 10 minute friendly conversation with the person sitting next to me, had some food, and went to sleep! I learned today this person has been tweeting about me drinking beer in the airplane bathroom, and trying to commit adultery with her on the airplane. Really absurd and quite funny! ... They Even took pictures of me while I was sleeping. A little WIERD! I was on a soap opera for years and never did the writers write something this good

None of what this person said happened is true! I guess in today's age you have to be careful who you say hello too.

Two things:

1) It's unfortunate she felt the need to publish all this via Twitter.

2) If it is indeed true, then he shouldn't have put himself in this situation to begin with if he didn't want people finding out.

If you don't do stupid things, they don't end up on a social media site. Pretty simple.

Well, you said yourself you had never heard of her, but have heard of the male actor, so....

Pretty smart on her behalf. Low, but smart.

She just attached herself to his fame by being the person who started this uproar.

True or not, you won't be able to hear his name for a long time without hers following it.
