Pretty crazy how powerful these new pellet rifles are. Shooting clean through a 2 x 4 into the catch box while sighting it in at 30 feet. 1300 feet per second is no joke for a pellet rifle! Never owned a pellet rifle that kicked before like these do.

Wow! I didn't know they made pellet guns that powerful. I would love to screw around in backyard with this.

Yea these are not toys like we had when growing up as kids. These are adult pellet rifles. They can kill large game such as Hogs, Turkey, Coyotes, etc

Don't watch if you don't like hunting.

Been debating on getting the Remington 770 7mm, 770 .308, or the 700 30.06. I think I settled on the 308. I want a deer rifle that is a little smaller and more of the real wooded area I'm going to be hunting next year.

I want a Glock 23 so badly, but alas money is very tight and any tax refund we get is already spoken for. Also I want to get my CC before my next purchase.

On another note do any of you have a problem with buying every gun magazine that comes out? Once a month I'm in the magazine section at wal mart drewling over the new issues.

It was a tough choice. I was stuck between the Glock 17 and the Sig SP2022, and had all but decided on the Sig. But then I looked at the Glock 19 out of curiosity, and it fit my hand like a glove. I got researching the Glock more, and once I realized that pretty much everything Glock makes is compatible across different models (the most important for me being mags), my decision was that much easier.

It wound up costing me about $100 more than the Sig, but it was one of those situations where as soon as I held it, I knew I needed it. It also fits any role I need, as the 19 is just small enough that i'd be comfortable carrying it if I wanted the extra capacity over my M&P 40 Shield (15+1 vs 7+1). But, it's also just the right size that I can go shoot all day at the range. Now I just need this snow to melt so I can break it in properly. I've yet to put any rounds through either this or my 4.2" SP101.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Reminds me of my dad, he held a Ruger single action revolver one day at the store and he instantly fell in love. He didn't buy it but he took a pic on his cell phone and every now and then I'll catch him looking at the pic and dreaming of what could've been.

Good choice. I have fallen in love with my Sig, but you can't argue with Glock. For me the Glock's just don't fit my hand very well. Simply a personal comfort choice.

I have the feeling that some day I will own the 2022. I really did like it, and after the Glock, it was my next choice.

Man, ammo prices right now are really chapping my hind quarters. In my last ten or so trips to Wal Mart, I've yet to see a single box of 9mm or .22lr. I've got a decent supply of .40 for my M&P Shield and a couple boxes of .357/.38spl for my SP101, but I'd really like to stock up on 9mm for my Glock. That, and I'm all out of .22, and my Buckmark is usually the first gun I grab out of my bag at the range to just plink with for like an hour.

I had to grab a box of 9mm FMJ at the gun shop where I picked up the Glock, and 50 rounds ran me $20.

Has anyone ever reloaded their your own brass. My dad and I used to do it when we hunted a lot and signed in multiple rifles. It's a little time consuming and not super cheap to get the press and dies (especially for multiple calibers) and everything else needed but if your an avid shooter it pays off. Especially with the prices nowadays.

Perhaps my question will be a bit off-base, but what kind of super protective cases are out there for firearms? I mean, if I'm to ever own a gun, I would very much like to childproof this puppy by having more than a combo lock or a key. Finger/palmprint? Voice activation? What levels of security to cases go to?

It would also just be cool. This is every bit out of curiosity as it is out of seriousness.

How about just buying a safe ? They aren't expensive. Can't get no more child proof then a safe.
