On second thought, if I owned a firearm I don't think I'd have the balls to use it lol. If someone broke into my house, not sure what the first reaction would be.

It's better to have a gun and not need it than need it and not have it.

I would much rather be prepared to make that decision then rely on the compassion of a burglar or mugger.

Am i the only one not enamored with the build quality of the Springfield's in general? I shot my Sig, and then I shoot my buddies Springfield, and the Springfield feels so cheap and less precise in comparison. Might just be me.Comment

I don't know BK, both in my opinion are fine examples of quality work. Now I might be inclined to give the Sig a slight edge just because I'm a fan of swiss firearms.Comment

What would be a step or two down from an AR 15?

I am wanting something that is semi-automatic, but a little easier on the wallet for both the firearm, and the ammo? It would be for sport.Comment

The Colt LE6920 and Sig M400 will be your best intro's in the AR field from a price point to quality stand point and both run sub $1,000. Again, I'm a swiss fan so I've been eyeing the M400 and it would be my go to choice.Comment

If someone breaks into your house they aren't there to borrow a cup of sugar. And if they break in at night they have very bad intentions. I didn't think much about this until I got married. Then we had our first kid and the protection instincts went through the roof.Battle.net: xXKING08Xx

I got a little Christmas/birthday present. A Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport. Took it out to the range and had a ton of fun with it. Can't beat the price I got it for either.Comment

 OS Firearms Thread

 Spoiler

Just a reminder that gun safety is very important. Apparently his 1911 went off while he was doing something with it. Read the article and saved the photo weeks ago.

Nonetheless it looks bad. He's probably gonna lose a few fingers.

I couldn't remember the details, but that sounds dead on.
