That was actually very easy and painless. The place was packed, probably 50+ people and at least half were filling out CCW paperwork. But less than 20 mins waiting and another 20 processing and I was headed back home. Just gotta wait on Jackson to send it to me. Takes 45 days they said.

Edit: There was a woman who looked to be 65-70 that was applying with her grandson. Made me laugh thinking of some purse snatcher picking an easy grandma target only to be facing the barrel of her glock(she mentioned that's what she bought lol. )

For shooting, really only the moving joints like the trigger firing pin mechanism and spots that show signs of wear from metal on metal contact need lube.
He got his used. So maybe it's just really dirty inside on the parts you can't see. I've shot 500+ rounds of this ammo and never had a misfire. So I can almost say for sure it's not the ammo.

Finally got my CCW License in the mail. However about 2 weeks ago, MS passed Constitutional Carry. So the concealed aspect is moot. However I opted to get what the state calls an enhanced carry permit. So other "restricted" areas are open to me. Now to get the right adjustment on the Alien Gear iwb holster I got a couple months back and I'll be set. Still working on the most comfortable spot to wear.

        Recommendations?

AG recommends 4 oclock. I wear mine a little closer to 3 but slight toward the back.

Went to a shooting range with a friend last night for the first time in my life. Was so nervous beforehand having never fired a gun before. Talked me through everything and made me feel safe and at ease. We used his pistol and 12 gauge shotgun. No idea what models they were. I know nothing about guns. Crazy feeling firing a shotgun.

This was my second round with the pistol. Glad I hit the bullseye at one point.

Next time you go, worry less about the bullseye. Keep the sights on the same spot, even if you are hitting off bullseye. If you keep the group of hits tight and small, that means you aren't flinching. You might be sqeezing too much or not enough. But if you don't fix flinching 1st you can't fix that.

For an early birthday present to myself, I grabbed a Beretta 92s. An Italian Police trade in. the biggest difference from the 92FS is the Euro style mag release. Still a Beretta 92 for $275 is a STEAL.
