Bought this recently. It has a better trigger than the regular LCP and it has an extended site. Very nice pistol!

Absolutely love that gun. Great for off-duty. I use a 1911 holster for it and just throw it in a pocket.

That's what I do. I'm about to get a little pocket clip for it. It looks like a knife sticking out of the pocket. Very nice gun

I've decided to go ahead and get a conceal carry permit, and have been trying to decide what pistol I'd like to carry. I want something light and compact. Everything i read says the M&P Shield 9 is yhe best option. I also saw a M&P Bodyguard. 380 that i liked as well. But I'd like to feel them in my hands before i make a purchase. Any input guys?

See if a local range carries the models and shoot both to see which feels comfortable while staying accurate. Something I personally recommend rather than "x" gun

Any input on Hi Point pistols? The price point is so low, it's hard to ignore them, being able to get a 380 for ~$150 and a 9mm for $170. The look is nice I haven't read anything terrible about them. Anybody have any first hand experience?

And to go along with that, is a 380 really that big of a drop off compared to the 9? In terms of self defense and stopping power? I have heard differing opinions.

They arent the prettiest, or the lightest but they arent bad, and have a lifetime warranty. Its not my conceal gun, but its gun you can have in a second car and not car, but still be protected.

Shot an AR-15 and a couple other similar rifles over the weekend. First time I had, and now I might be addicted...

It wasn't just a bare bones AR-15 at least. Even had a red dot sight. I'm pretty ignorant in terms of pricing and knowing what is good, but I know my cousin has $2,500-$3,500 in each of his 3 rifles. The others not being AR-15s, but still shot .223.

I know AR-15s are the most popular, and I'm assuming the cheapest to start with. Any good sites to look at or advice on if I did want a rifle in the future on what road I should go down?

I don't own a AR, now my brother in law bought one last year though. He spent right at $1,800 and that included the gun, foregrip, bi-pod, and scope. It was purchased at a local gun shop here in Louisiana. When it comes to buying any gun, I'm a firm believer in supporting your local guys. Go in, shoot the **** with them, hold different firearms, and shoot different ones. These are the guys keeping a local business open by personal interaction and knowledge, I'd support that avenue especially in this anti-gun control environment we are currently going through. Its no telling when these same people could be unemployed or hurting based on the future, if you support pro-guns, I think you need to support your local gun shop owners.

I'd say this, if are really interested in an AR-15, get it NOW! If you are on the fence for a rifle such as a .270, 7 mm rem mag, .308, etc then you can wait and grab one at a later date, they are not going anywhere.

I'd really like to grab this Marlin at some point in the .35 Rem

If I did more predator hunting I'd grab a AR, but I pretty much duck hunt and deer hunt so I don't need an AR just to plink around with. So for me, my weapons come by usage. Bow for bow season, .35 Whelen for primitive, .243 for small game/predators, shotgun for ducks/rabbits, .22 for squirrel, high powered pellet rifle for fun with small game, and pistol for home protection.

Granted I'm a hunter not a gun collector.
