Has anybody experimented with letting the fans sing the National Anthem like they do in Canada?

I keep waiting for Sandman Sims to pop up and clown this girl off stage.

          I don't care for Marvin's version either.

That's just not how it's meant to be.

The great thing about the national anthem is hearing it interpreted in each artist's own way. I don't think there's a set way it should be sung only with respect and for the artist to give it their all.

Marvin's and Whitney Houston's renditions are two of the best.

Whitneys is a little more traditional, If we are talking about the same version. I wasn't trying to imply Marvins was bad, its just not how I like to hear it... I'm not doubting people enjoy it.

                Off-topic time, I can't heard Sandman Sims without thinking of. . .

No version of the anthem has ever given me chills like being at a Chicago Blackhawks game and having the crowd cheer and applaud the entire time while Jim Cornelison belts it out.

                  It's an absolutely incredible experience.

I remember going to my first Blackhawk game and being really confused when the fans did this. I never seen that anywhere else. Jim Cornelison has an amazing voice.

The Portland Timbers in MLS has their supporters section lead the singing.

I actually cannot stand that. Almost as stupid as the Stars.

Although Hockey clearly has it down right. No frills, just get guys out there to sing it, sing it well, and let's go.

                          Blasphemy.

The Stars chant is the dumbest thing I've been a part of tho.

                            I like the stars thing

My favorite National Anthem experience was being on the ice on veterans day and holding a giant flag with other military members at the Alaska Aces game. An amazing experience.

This one tends to be my favorite non military singing of the Anthem, I also think LeAnn Rimes can belt it out pretty powerfully as well.
