One of the main things I've noticed about women of ALL ages is:

If they give you the "green light" (no matter how subtle / difficult to read) and you fail to "swing the bat", you're lucky to get the "friend zone"...

Many times, they just get straight up p.o.'d...

Regardless of how this plays out, you (your bro / whomever) doesn't want to get into THAT bad habit this early in the game of "game"...

"Failure to Launch" is the hot route to losing respect with that gender...

Just go for it, you don't want to look back an think what if. I was in a situation were I didn't go for it an always thought what if. Luckily when I got another chance I went for it an now we are going out but those chances usually dot happen again so take it now.

Go for it. Next time you're looking at her in class and she looks your way instead of turning away, just smile at her. Given what you've said she'll most likely smile back and then go ask her out to whatever it is high school kids do now.

Yeah I think she has a thing for your brother, but he has to act quick. High School girls are often times very fickle, and flip around on their crushes quite often she might like your brother this week, but if he doesn't give her a reason to hope or act on anything she might move on to another dude pretty soon.

I'd say next time in class he thinks she's checking him out, catch her eyes looking at him and tell him to smile at her. If her reaction is positive she's given the green light.. go up later (after class, lunch, in the halls) and ask if she wants to hang out.. local restaurant, go to the movies, heck maybe bowling, who knows maybe she's into that. He's got to do something though.

Alright so check this out guys. My wife and I went to some yard sales and I brought a long my younger brother to help with any furniture we get. Well, we just happened to go to that girl's house that we are talking about in this thread. He chatted with her for a minute and my wife and I said hey.

So he wants to ask her out now and he wants advice from me. I told me I'm not the person to ask. Back when I was a sophomore in HS, my wife asked me out and we've been going strong ever since. So, he wants to know how to ask a girl out. I told him just to ask, but maybe I'm wrong lol?

Anyways he says thanks for the answers you guys have given so far.

Tell him to let her know that he is kind of a big deal, has many leather bound books, and that his room smells of rich mahogany.

If she doesn't know what he's referring to, she's probably not worth dating anyway.

Corny jokes doesn't sound good. Could go over her head and make for an awkward moment. More then it already will be for this kid.

Just cut to the chase. "What you doing this weekend?" When she says she doesn't know, just tell him to ask to go get some food or bowling or something engaging Friday/Saturday night. Preferably not a movie, as there's no interaction there.

These are HS age kids. Don't need to be fancy. Hell, could just go to a nearby park and walk around and talk. My girl's favorite memory is of when we made our relationship "official" (trust me, I hate that term but it's the nature of the business) at the local park on a winter night. Nothing fancy, just a little talk, a kiss and that was that.
