Ten shot, two dead outside of Empire State Building

It sounds like most (if not all) of the injured were actually shot by the cops when they were trying to shoot the murderer. Yikes!

Yeah, I don't care how violent a city is, that's a ridiculous number of people for one night.

Last I heard none of them had died yet, so that's good.

It's the worst I've ever seen it, people are getting shot in neighborhoods were **** like that just don't happen.

Scary times all over.

Not the first time this happened.
I happened to be assigned and working in Engine Co. 1 on this particular day in 1997. (the firehouse is on West 31 Street in Manhattan)
Pretty gruesome....and I can pretty much look at anything.
