All the time, started the bad habit as a kid playing baseball. I spit so much in little league my mom kept track from the stands and made me giver her a quarter for every time I spit. My allowance was gone every damn week.

I still spit all the time, even playing indoor bball regularly.

          Re: Spitting

Ugh, I do it all of the time, and I realize it's an awful habit. I've developed it from baseball, and I don't even catch myself doing it. I never do it inside, so obviously I'm controlling it on some conscious level. My mom always catches me any time I do it around her, and makes note of it.

I normally don't realize it's that bad, until I see someone else do it. I think it's perfectly acceptable during sports, though. I spit constantly in the outfield during baseball.

My excuse is that it beats swallowing.

No I don't spit. I don't see any reason to though i'm not one of those people that scowl or show disdain for others that do.

I always rub my sneaker on it, need to do that anyway because the traction is so awful on most courts. I'm not bombing lougies out there.

I played/still play baseball, so yes I spit often. It is definitely a habit most ballplayers have picked up and can't get rid of.

Guilty as charged. I do it 1 or 2 times in the morning....when I'm walking out to my car for work. Just to get rid of the after taste of my mouthwash.

Yeah, that's where I picked it up from... now I can't kick the habit.
