My brothers and I played soooo much MLB Showdown back in the day. The poster that came with it got so worn out I don't think it's still in tact. I also had NFL Showdown, but that wasn't nearly as much fun.

This was may favorite toy of all time. I remember it was $50 in the JC Penny Christmas catalogue. That was very expensive back in that day. God Bless my parents. I bet the $50 was a pretty good trade off considering all the hours I played with that thing.

I had more Star Wars stuff than I can even remember. These are a few of the big toys I had. I think I had about every figure there was. I remember having a bunch of Darth Vaders and Luke Skywalkers because when they first started their lightsaber would extend from inside their arm and I would always break them. I think later they were just a piece that they could hold and a piece that every kid eventually lost, lol. Great memories. Thinking about this now, my parents spent A LOT of money on my toys. Good grief.

I had a lot of GI Joe men and vehicles, but these were some of my favorites. The helicopter and the plane were freakin' awesome.

This is exactly what I got on Christmas of 1985. The NES was the greatest thing ever. I couldn't get enough of baseball. Mario Bro.'s didn't even come with the system yet. That light gun was cutting edge technology. Shot a lot of ducks back in those days. Duck Dynasty guys would be proud.

My cousins had that NES Baseball game, and whenever I'd go over there we'd always play. So much fun. But the guys were slower than molasses.

                          MLB SHOWDOWN!

I have so many of both the MLB and NFL cards (that came with a football-shaped swiper type thing.)

My buddies and I played the MLB card game so much, it was unbelievable. I even won some $$ in tournaments for that game.

Also, I can't believe not a single joke was made about Dayman's parents making a sound investment on the micro machines as a child and having it last to be his first car.

This game was pretty cool. Fast action. But the goals were so damn wide we had to put secure tape to make smaller holes...otherwise we had basketball scores!
