Huskies are the best. I love them but they require a lot of upkeep.

My bro and his (now) wife were stupid to get him considering we don't have a backyard, though. Back then, they weren't married and they didn't have a place of their own. We don't have a backyard at our house though so he stays inside. Hair everywhere and the guy doesn't have too much room to move. I mean, literally EVERYWHERE. All year long. You could brush him for HOURS and still get hair out. It's seriously ridiculous. He gets majority of his fun on walks or if we take him to the park. Wish my bro got a house with a backyard so they could keep him. I feel bad for the guy sometimes.

He's the best though. I wouldn't trade him for anything.

Re: Let's take a minute to appreciate our dogs

I grew up with and around medium to large-sized dogs. We had a Yellow Lab when I was born, and then got Springer Spaniels the rest of my life when I was growing up. My Aunt has had boxers as long as my memory remembers, I was always a large dog person.

Then we got this little angel for free from my fiance's family member. She's a little puke and makes me want to pull my hair out, but I miss her. Had to send her to my parents until we get settled with our move and finances to bring her back.

      Spoiler

Then these are within the last couple days. Enjoying the outdoors as always, with my parents dog (that I lived with for about 5 years. If I go home to visit she'll lay outside my door for about 2-3 weeks after I leave.)

      Spoiler

There's about 4 years inbetween the two, with the shih tzu being younger. She's also the one that starts the fights. The dogs are perfect together though, which I don't quite understand. After 5 years of being the lone dog (though around other dogs quite often) of the household, my Mom brought our shih tzu from CA back to WI for the time. Lily is the Shih Tzu, and she will go eat out of our other dog's bowl. Neither dog has a problem with this, and they share pretty much all of their stuff. It's crazy.

Like all you other dog owners in here, I could go on for days
      bad

Huskies are cool, I used to watch my aunt's for her during HS. The problem was she had like 4 which got crazy at times.

My four year old little boy jackson, I love him like he is my own son...my wife passed tragically on May 1st and she loved him like a child as well, we couldn't have kids but at the end of the day, good or bad, it was him and the love he shows unconditionally that gives me hope all will be fine...
