And in the second fight, the wife was hitting the wrong guy. The big guy was trying to pull the guy off her husband. People like Black Ops 2 so much they willing to get their *** kicked over it. SMH

Re: This is why I don't do midnight releases

Midnight releases never interested me. The thought of waiting in line at midnight for a video game doesn't appeal to me. I have way better things to do with my time. Just seems rather stupid.

I wouldn't use this video as a reason not to go if midnight releases are your type of thing. Thanks to the internet we see fights like this happen all the time, at all sorts of events.

I'm sure 99.9999% of all midnight releases last night went off without incident.

Edit - You might want to NSFW that. Some lady drops the C word at the end.

If you are the type of person who is up until 2-3 anyways already then midnight releases make perfect sense. Really what way better things are there to do at midnight if you are going to be awake anyways?

All these WSHH videos make me so sad for society...

How does this happen? As an adult I can't imagine something now that would cause me to fight someone like this, over a video game.

Sure if you're going to be up, need the newest game right away and have nothing to do the next morning, a midnight release might sound like a good idea.

Personally anything I might have going on around midnight is better than waiting in line for a video game. But that's just me though.

I can't understand it either. It's a material thing. If you can't get it today, you can get it tomorrow or a few days later. Not going to fight over a material thing. Especially when my wife and child is there too.

How about the little kid coming in at the end with a couple of kicks? That's a quick way for a 12 year old to find an "errant" punch

Didn't take the first one long to escalate into a folding chair beat-down, did it? He had that thing in a holster or something.

That one looked so damn staged, that I was wondering when Vince McMahon was going to make an appearance.

Yeah I don't see why this would really stop any one from doing a midnight release. Most of the ones I've been to are get the game and get out by 12:05 at the latest. I'm sure the odds of a fight happening at your location are slim to none, let alone it involve you.

Hell, GMSS you're more likely to run into a fight walking down a street in Chicago, am I right? You're afraid of a midnight release?

What sickens me about any of these "public brawl" videos is all the bystanders holding their camera phones. Gotta get that Youtube video;nevermind offering to help any of the victims.(Not just these, but search YT and a bunch come up)

Our society today just outright sucks."Check it out! Three guys are beating down somebody!! Quick, grab my phone!" "Call 911?" NO!!!! I wanna post this on Youtube!"

                      *Sigh*

Is this really thread worthy? Serious question BTW. We've seen people get killed over losing a game in Madden, so is seeing someone get their *** beat while waiting in line really that surprising?

As for waiting in line for a game at midnight, I'm not going to get on my high horse and act like I wasn't THAT guy waiting in line for a game because I have.

I usually only do new NCAA and Halo games, but they always go off without any problems. I actually showed up at 12:15 for NCAA 13 and walked right in and bought it. You can walk to Wal Mart from our local game stop, but I absolutely hate everything Wal Mart.

The only time I've ever waited for an extended amount of time was for Halo 3 and that was by choice with my friends. We had nothing better to do with our time and I was only 17.

More likely to be approached by 3 crackheads asking if you want a good time, 4 drug dealers asking if you want to buy anything and then a new gang member trying to prove how hard he is. Afraid of midnight releases ? No. Just never saw the point of them, never was that serious to me.

I always try to avoid situations where fights are likely to happen at. And in Chicago, any major urban city really, come late at night, there is nothing but danger out in the streets. Fist fights is one thing, but in urban areas you have to worry about gun fights because a good amount of people late at night were carrying.

Hell even in Merrillville, Indiana where I use to live for a while, just a few days ago they had a shootout inside of the mall between 2 groups of teens they were aged 16 and younger. So yeah, I'm not worried about fist fights, I'm more concerned with gun fights.

I had 2 friends shot and killed at midnight release before in Chicago. Even had friends shot at friday night movie releases. So that always stuck with me, even to this day I refuse to go to a late night showing at a movie theater.

I have learned to avoid situations. Sure that doesn't happen at 99% of places. But when you lived the life and had a lot your friends shot and killed at events, that mindset stays with you. I live in a small town now, where crime don't even exist out here. But that Chicago mindset is still with me.
